Here’s the long-range travel & RV weather outlook (to be updated this evening)
— WA and OR Cascades; northeast OR; higher elevations of central and northern ID; western MT: Valley rains and mountains snows move through the region Monday and Monday night. Expect 3-8 inches snow in the mountains and over the higher passes. Winter weather advisories will probably be issued later today or tonight. I-15, I-84, I-90 likely to be impacted.
— Southern CA Coastal and Greater Los Angeles areas: Heat Advisory through this evening. High temperatures upper 80’s to lower 90’s.
— Southern NV; southeastern CA; west-central and northwest AZ: Wind Advisories Tuesday. Gusts to 50 mph. I-15, I-40 impacted.
— Southeast WY: High Wind Warnings through this evening. Gusts 55-60 mph. I-25, I-80 impacted.
— Northeast ND and adjacent northwest MN: Winter Weather Advisory late this morning through tonight. 1-3 inches snow, wind gusts to 35 mph and wind chill temperatures as low as -40 deg F (or C). I-29 impacted.
— Southern MI along the I-94 corridor: Winter Weather Advisories late this morning through tonight. 1-3 inches snow expected. I-69, I-75, I-94 impacted.
— West-central VA near Staunton and the intersection of I-81 and I-64: Winter Storm Warnings through this afternoon. Total of 3-8 inches snow expected. I-64, I-81 impacted.
— Western and northern VA; extreme eastern WV; DC central MD; northern DE; southeast PA; most of NJ; southern NY: Winter Weather Advisories through early this afternoon. Snow accumulations generally. 2-4 inches along the I-81 corridor and 1-3 inches along the I-95 corridor. Highways impacted include I-70, I-76 / PA Turnpike, I-81, I-83, I-84, I-87 / NY Thruway, I-95 / NJ Turnpike and access roads to NY City. Expect relatively minor impacts to I-95.
