These are the most significant weather impacts to RV travel over the next two to three days. I do not list every area of rain, showers, or breezy winds. It would be exhausting (for both of us!).

Weather Impacts Pacific Time Zone:

– Southern CA: Extreme Heat Warning in effect Wednesday morning through Friday evening. Daytime temperatures 106-118°F with heat indices of 110-120°F expected. I-8, I-10, I-40, US-95 impacted.

– Eastern OR: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible Monday. Damaging wind greater than 58 mph the primary hazard.

Weather Impacts Mountain Time Zone:

– Most of UT, Southeastern ID, Southeastern WY, and Western CO: Red Flag (Fire Weather) Warning in effect through Monday evening. Wind gusts 30-40 mph expected. I-15, I-70, I-80, US-6, US-20, US-26, US-30, US-40, US-50, US-89, US-91, US-93, US-160, US-189, US-191, US-287, US-550 impacted.

– Lower Elevations of the Grand Canyon: Extreme Heat Warning in effect through Tuesday evening for elevations below 4000 feet. Daytime temperatures 103-113°F expected. 

– Southern half of AZ: Extreme Heat Warning in effect Wednesday through Friday evening. Daytime temperatures in the low 100s with heat indices of 110-120°F expected. I-8, I-10, I-11, I-19, I-40, US-60, US-70, US-93, US-95, US-191 impacted.

– Northern High Plains: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible Monday. Damaging winds over 58 mph and large hail over an inch in diameter primary hazards.

– Northeastern High Plains: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible Tuesday. Damaging winds over 58 mph and large hail over an inch in diameter primary hazards.

Weather Impacts Central Time Zone:

– Eastern AL and the FL Panhandle: Flood Watch in effect through Tuesday evening. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. I-10, I-20, I-59, I-65, I-85, US-29, US-80, US-82, US-84, US-90, US-231, US-278, US-280, US-331, US-411, US-431 impacted.

– West Central Great Plains: Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms expected Monday. Damaging winds greater than 58 mph and large hail over an inch in diameter the main hazards. An isolated tornado or two is also possible.

– Northern Plains: Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms expected Tuesday. Damaging winds over 58 mph and large hail over an inch in diameter the hazards.

Weather Impacts Eastern Time Zone:

– Central and Western half of GA and the Eastern FL Panhandle: Flood Watch in effect through Monday evening. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. I-10, I-16, I-20, I-24, I-59, I-75, I-85, I-95, US-1, US-19, US-23, US-27, US-29, US-41, US-76, US-78, US-80, US-82, US-84, US-90, US-98, US-129, US-221, US-278, US-280, US-319, US-341, US-411, US-441 impacted.

– South FL: Heat Advisory in effect through Monday evening. Heat indices up to 110°F expected. I-75, I-95, US-1, US-27, US-41, US-98 impacted.
