  • A non-tropical low along the coast of the southeastern U.S. will produce gusty winds, heavy rain, dangerous surf, and rip current conditions through Sunday. While this system is not classified as a low-end tropical storm, it may feel like one.

  • Greatest risk of severe thunderstorms today will be along the New Mexico – Texas border; severe thunderstorms may occur over the High Plains from Canada to Mexico.
  • Many streams and rivers in the West are approaching their peak runoffs; be careful if camping this holiday weekend near a creek and monitor local flood warnings.
