Rainy and Breezy in the East. As a storm system exits the region . Winds are expected to be a little breezy behind the cold front associated with this system, which will move through behind the rain.
Rain returns to the Northwest. Rain returns with a new storm system approaching the coast Friday night. Some strong winds are expected in the far northwest of Washington State.
Calm Weather for the Central Plains. High pressure remains in the plains keeping things dry for the weekend.

Rainy and Breezy in the East. A weak storm system will move through the eastern half of the country bringing some much needed rain to end the week. Winds are expected to be a little breezy behind the cold front associated with this system, which will move through behind the rain.
First Freeze for some in the Plains. Combination of clear skies and winds from the north will lead to a cool Thursday night. First freeze of the season expected for the central plains.
Calm Weather returns to the west. High pressure remains in control keeping the west calm to end the work week. Rain returns with a new storm system approaching the coast Saturday.

Heat Returns for Southwestern CA. High pressure sets up over the western US through mid week bringing warm weather and high winds for southwestern CA.
Windy in the Southern Plains. A strong cold front moves through the plains today bringing rain and windy conditions. Temperatures drop behind the front with coldest temperatures of the week Wednesday morning.
Coastal flooding concerns along east coast. Coastal system moves out to sea with some lingering showers and coastal flooding from breezy conditions along the coast.
