These are the most significant weather impacts to RV travel over the next two to three days. I do not list every area of rain, showers, or breezy winds. (It would be exhausting for both of us!). Please check out the animations and graphics for a good depiction of the weather along your route.
Pacific:
— Central and southeast WA; north-central OR: Red Flag (fire danger) Warnings this afternoon through Monday evening. Wind gusts to 30 mph. I-82, I-84, I-90, US-97, US-395 potentially impacted.
Mountain:
— Much of MT east of the Rockies and along and north of I-90/I-94: Red Flag Warnings this afternoon through Monday evening. Wind gusts 30-45 mph. Highest winds east of the Rocky Mountain Front. I-15, I-90, I-94, US-2, US-87 impacted.
Central:
— Eastern ND; northern MN; northwest WI: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-29, I-94 impacted.
— TX Panhandle: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible late afternoon and early evening Monday. Wind and hail are the primary hazards. I-27, I-40 impacted.
— Central and southwest OK; north-central TX: Widely scattered severe thunderstorms possible Tuesday and Tuesday night. Very large hail and severe wind gusts possible. I-35, I-40, I-44 potentially impacted.
— Southwest LA: Red Flag (fire danger) Warning this afternoon and evening. Light winds but warm temperatures and low humidity. I-10, I-49 potentially impacted.
— Much of west-central, central and southeast AL: Dense Fog Advisories through mid-morning. I-20, I-65, I-85 impacted.
Eastern:
— Rain, showers and thunderstorms today from PA to the Carolinas.
— Eastern NC; eastern SC; northern coastal GA: Strong thunderstorms possible today and tonight. Damaging winds and perhaps a tornado or two are the primary threats. I-16, I-20, I-26, I-40, I-95 potentially impacted.
— Rain, heavy at times, from the Mid-Atlantic Coast to New England on Monday.
