  • Significant severe thunderstorm outbreak probable for the mid-Mississippi Valley Saturday evening and night. Arkansas in the highest risk area.
  • Severe thunderstorms with large hail possible this evening over central and eastern Kansas.
  • Snow today for the Colorado Rockies and I-70.

Pacific:

— Northeast and east-central CA, and adjacent west-central NV: Flood Watches from Saturday afternoon through Monday morning. Low water crossings may be flooded.

Southern CA Mojave Desert Slopes: Wind Advisory this morning. Gusts to 55 mph. CA-58 impacted.

Mountain:

— Portions of central MT; much of north-central and northeast MT: Flood Watches and Advisories through this evening for rapid snowmelt due to warm temperatures. Some roadways and low water crossings may be flooded.

Central and western CO above 9000 feet: Winter Weather Advisories through Saturday morning. 6-12 inches of snow and wind gusts to 40 mph. I-70 impacted.

Southeast NM and far-west TX including the I-10/I-20 split: Wind Advisories today and tonight. Gusts to 55 mph. I-10, I-20 impacted.

— Remainder of central and southern NM: Strong winds this afternoon . Gusts to 35 mph. I-10, I-20, I-40 impacted.

Central:

— Much of central and south-central ND: FLOOD WARNINGS today. Flooding from warm temperatures and snowmelt occurring in much of the James River Valley. Numerous roads closed. I-94 potentially impacted.

— Southeast ND; adjacent west-central MN: FLOOD WARNINGS until further notice. Flooding from warm temperatures and snowmelt occurring in much of the Red River Valley. Numerous roads closed. I-29 potentially impacted.

— Northeast MN; northwest WI: Flood Advisories today due to warm temperatures and snowmelt. I-35 potentially impacted.

— Western TX: Strong winds this afternoon and evening. Gusts 25-35 mph. I-10, I-20, I-27, I-40 impacted.

Southeast NE; central and eastern KS and adjacent north-central OK: Severe thunderstorms capable of large hail and damaging wind gusts most likely late this afternoon into this evening. I-35, I-40, I-44, I-70 potentially impacted.

Central and southern MO and adjacent southwest IL; all of AR, adjacent far-eastern OK, adjacent far-west TN; northeast and eastern TX; central and northern LA; western MS: Significant severe weather outbreak possible Saturday evening into Saturday night. Severe thunderstorms capable of large to very large hail, tornadoes, and damaging gusts are possible late afternoon Saturday into the overnight hours. Arkansas will be at greatest risk from these severe storms. I-20, I-22, I-30, I-40, I-44, I-49, I-55, I-57, I-64, I-70 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

Southern VA; most of NC and the northwestern half of SC: Isolated, marginally severe thunderstorms possible today through late this evening. Damaging winds and hail will be the primary hazards. I-20, I-26, I-40, I-74, I-77, I-85, I-95 potentially impacted.

— Central and southwest GA and adjacent SC: Isolated severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging wind gusts possible Sunday. I-16, I-20, I-75 potentially impacted.

— Near-record to record warm temperatures continue over parts of PA, NY and Southern New England. High temperatures in the mid-80’s to lower 90’s.
