Pacific:
— Western WA and western OR: Excessive Heat Watches Saturday through Monday. High temperatures in the mid-80’s to mid-90’s.
Mountain:
— Portions of southeast ID: Flood Advisories due to snowmelt.
— Eastern and southeastern MT; adjacent north-central WY: Flood Watches through late Friday night for excessive rainfall. An additional 1 – 2.5 inches rainfall possible. I-25, I-90, I-94 potentially impacted.
— East-central and southeast WY; western NE; northeast CO; northwest KS: FLOOD WARNINGS (KS) and Watches through late tonight. An additional 1-3 inches rainfall likely. I-25, I-70, I-76, I-80 potentially impacted.
— Most of eastern WY; northeast and east-central CO: Strong winds Friday afternoon and evening. Gusts 35-50 mph. Strongest winds over northeast CO. I-25, I-70, I-76, I-80 impacted.
— Northwest CO: Flood Advisories and Watches in effect due to a combination of rainfall and snowmelt. US-40 potentially impacted.
— Central and north-central CO; adjacent south-central WY: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories through midday Friday. Additional snow accumulations of 5-15 inches – heaviest above 10,000 feet. Wind gusts to 35 mph. 6-10 inches snow and wind gusts to 35 mph. 3-6 inches snow possible on Vail Pass (I-70). I-70 impacted, I-80 marginally impacted.
— Northeast and east-central CO: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms today. Large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes are all possible. Greatest risk is to the east, over western and central KS. I-70, I-76 potentially impacted.
— North-central and east-central NM: Wind Advisories today. Gusts to 50 mph. I-25, I-40 impacted.
Central:
— East-central and southeast WY; western NE; northeast CO; northwest KS: FLOOD WARNINGS (KS) and Watches through late tonight. An additional 1-3 inches rainfall likely. I-25, I-70, I-76, I-80 potentially impacted.
— Central and southern SD; eastern CO; NE; KS; central OK: Strong to severe thunderstorms expected this afternoon and tonight. These storms will produce damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes. Greatest risk over western and central KS and central OK. I-29, I-35, I-40, I-44, I-70, I-80, I-90 potentially impacted.
— Southeast SD; eastern NE; central and western IA; eastern KS; western MO; central and eastern OK; northern and central TX: Slight chance of severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon into Friday night. Very large hail and damaging wind gusts will be the most likely threats in the southern portion of this region, while large hail, damaging winds and a couple of tornadoes will be the primary threats further north. I-10, I-20, I-29, I-35, I-40, I-44, I-70, I-80 potentially impacted.
— Central IA: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms Saturday. I-35, I-80 potentially impacted.
— Portions of south-central NE: Dense Fog Advisory through late this morning. I-80 impacted.
— Portions of eastern TX; southwest and central AR; northern LA: FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS and Flood Watches through this afternoon. 2-3 inches of rain generally expected; some places may receive up to 5 inches of rain. I-20, I-30, I-40, I-49 potentially impacted.
— Much of central and western TX, especially central TX south of I-10 to the Rio Grande Valley: Heavy rains and flash flooding probable Friday evening through Sunday. By Sunday night 2-5 inch rainfall amounts will be widespread. Some areas south of I-10 could see 8 inches or more of rain. I-10, I-35 potentially impacted.
— South TX: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms Saturday. I-10, I-35, I-69 potentially impacted.
— Portion of northwest MS: Flash Flood Watch for potential failure of Arkabutla Dam on the Coldwater River. I-55 potentially impacted.
— Most of LA; central and southern MS; central and southern AL: Strong to marginally severe thunderstorms this afternoon may produce isolated hail and damaging winds. I-10, I-12, I-20, I-49, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-85 potentially impacted.
Eastern:
— Southwest GA; northern and central FL: Strong to marginally severe thunderstorms this afternoon may produce isolated hail and damaging winds. I-4, I-10, I-75 potentially impacted.
