Beryl’s remnants have departed the US, but not before dropping several tornadoes, damaging wind gusts, and 2-6 inches of rain across upstate New York and northern New England yesterday.
The East gets a brief break in the heat, but the Heat Wave continues through the weekend across the West.

Heavy rainfall from the remnants of Beryl will result in scattered flash flooding today into tonight from portions of the lower and mid Mississippi Valley into the Great Lakes. The rainfall and flash flood risk will move into portions of the Northeast on Wednesday.
A few tornadoes are possible today across the lower Ohio Valley, and Wednesday across the New York / Pennsylvania border, all associated with the remnants of Beryl.

Beryl made landfall early this morning along the central Texas Coast as a hurricane with 80 mph winds. Storm surge and high winds will continue along the coast through early afternoon.
The storm will move through eastern Texas today and into Arkansas tonight with heavy rains and a threat of tornadoes. By Wednesday, Beryl’s rains will be in the Midwest and Ohio Valley.
