Dangerous flooding event across the central Mississippi and Ohio Valleys through the weekend. Up to a foot of rain possible in spots of Missouri and Arkansas by Sunday morning. TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.
Severe Weather Outbreak is expected today across much of AR and southern MO today with strong tornadoes and damaging winds. Scattered to numerous severe weather expected from central TX to central OH.
Another round of severe weather is expected from the southern and central Mississippi River Valley through the Ohio Valley Saturday afternoon/evening capable of all weather hazards.

— Northwestern OR and southwestern WA Valleys: Frost Advisory this morning. Temperatures as low as 33 degrees.

Weather Impacts Mountain Time Zone:

— Western SD; northwestern NE; eastern CO; eastern WY: Gusty winds expected this afternoon. Wind gusts 40 to 45 mph. I-25, I-70, I-76, I-80, I-90 potentially impacted.

— Southwestern CO San Juan mountains: Winter Weather Advisory until Saturday night. 6 to 10 inches of snow expected. US-160, US-550 impacted.

— South-central CO mountains; much of northeastern and eastern NM; western TX panhandle: Winter Storm Warnings tonight through Saturday. Snowfall accumulations up to 10 inches below 7500 feet. Wind gusts to 50 mph. Difficult travel conditions are expected. I-25, I-27, I-40, US-60, US-64, US-84 impacted.

— Eastern CO; western KS: Dense Fog advisory this morning. I-70, US-34, US-36, US-40 impacted.

Weather Impacts Central Time Zone:

— Eastern ND; northeastern SD; much of northern MN: A gusty band of snow will make it through the region later this afternoon and evening. Expect gusts up to 40 mph and lowered visibility. I-29, I-94, US-2, US-10, US-12 impacted.

— Central ND: Winter Weather Advisory until 1pm this afternoon. Snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. Heavy snowfall rates expected. I-94, US-52 impacted.

— KS; OK; northern TX: Strong gusty winds will develop Friday afternoon and evening. Gusts up to 45 mph possible. I-27, I-35, I-40, I-70, US-54, US-60, US-83 impacted.

— Eastern OK; AR; southeastern MO; northern MS; western TN; western and central KY; southern and southeast IL: Flood Watches through Sunday morning. Up to a FOOT OF RAIN is possible with some spots reaching 15 inches of rainfall, which will lead to significant Flash flooding and river flooding. I-22, I-24, I-30, I-40, I-55, I-57, I-64, I-65, I-69, I-70 potentially impacted.

— Portions of western KY: FLASH FLOOD WARNING UNTIL 10AM. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Turn around, don’t drown! I-24, I-69, US-68 impacted.

— Eastern TX; eastern OK; AR; far southeastern MO; far northwestern MS; western TN; far southern IL; far southern IN; much of western and central KY: Widespread flash flooding is expected today with heavy, training thunderstorms. Some areas within this zone may see up to 7 inches or more of rain today. Heavy rainfall rates will increase flash flood risk. Turn around, don’t drown. — Eastern OK; eastern TX; LA; AR; northern MS; western TN; western KY; southern IL: Widespread flash flooding is expected Saturday with heavy, training thunderstorms. Some areas within this zone may see up to 6 inches or more of rain Saturday afternoon and evening. Heavy rainfall rates will increase flash flood risk. Turn around, don’t drown. — Far southern IN; much north-central KY: FLASH FLOOD WARNING UNTIL 9AM. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Turn around, don’t drown! I-64, I-65, I-71, I-75, US-62 impacted.

— IN; western OH; northern KY: Heavy rain may lead to areas of flash flooding today. The greatest risk is across IN and northern KY. Heavy rainfall rates will increase the flash flood risk. Turn around, don’t drown. I-64, I-65, I-69, I-70, I-71, I-74, I-75 potentially impacted.
