Pacific:
— OR western Columbia River Gorge: Strong winds today into tonight. Wind gusts 35-45 mph. Strongest winds midday. I-84 impacted.
— South-central CA Kern County Mountains: Red Flag (fire danger) Warnings through this evening. Wind gusts to 40 mph. Strongest winds this morning. I-5 impacted.
— Southern NV / AZ border; northern section CA / AZ border from Lake Mead Recreation Area south to Colorado River Indian Reservation: Wind Advisory through this evening. Gusts to 50 mph. Winds will be strongest and most widespread this morning. I-40, US-93, US-95 impacted.
— Southern CA Coastal Ranges from Santa Barbara County to San Diego County. High Wind Warnings (Santa Ana Mountain) and Wind Advisories continue through Tuesday evening. Wind gusts generally 45-50 mph except 65 mph or higher in the Cajon Pass and Santa Ana Mountains. Wind gusts highest today, and generally decrease to 40-50 mph on Tuesday. Major highways impacted include I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15, US-101.
Mountain:
— High terrain of south-central MT; northwest WY and north-central CO: Very cold this morning with windchill temperatures at or below -10 deg F.
— South-central and southeast MT; eastern WY along the I-90 / I-25 corridor from Bozeman to Cheyenne: Strong winds late this morning though early afternoon. Gusts 30-40 mph. I-25, I-90 impacted.
— Southeast AZ; southern NM: Freeze Warning tonight and Tuesday morning. Low temperatures 25-30 degrees.
— West-central, central and southeast AZ; southwest and southeast NM, and adjacent far-west TX: Strong winds through this afternoon. Wind gusts 30-45 mph, especially in the mountains. Strongest winds in the morning. I-10, I-17, I-40 impacted.
— South-central and southeast AZ: Strong winds on Tuesday. Wind gusts 35-45 mph. I-10, I-19 impacted.
Central:
— Northwest and north-central ND: Very cold temperatures Tuesday morning. Wind chill values below -10 deg F. US-2, US-52, US-83, US-85 impacted.
— North-central SD: Wind Advisory this afternoon and evening. Wind gusts to 45 mph. US-12, US-83 impacted.
— ND; SD: Strong winds this afternoon through late this evening. Wind gusts 35-45 mph. I-29, I-90, I-94 impacted.
— Northern and eastern MN: Snow moves south and east, starting late this afternoon and continuing through tonight. Several inches expected. I-35, I-94 impacted.
— Much of WI: Snow will fall late tonight through mid-afternoon Tuesday. Several inches expected. I-39, I-43, I-90, I-94 impacted.
— Southern MN; central and eastern IA; northern MO: Strong winds Tuesday morning into Tuesday afternoon. Wind gusts 30-40 mph. I-35, I-80, I-90 impacted.
— Northern and central IL: Strong winds Tuesday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts 30-35 mph. I-55, I-57, I-74, I-80, I-88 impacted.
— Southwest TX Pecos County: Winter Weather Advisory through early this afternoon. Freezing rain, freezing drizzle and sleet. Up to 1/10th of an inch of ice possible. I-10 and the I-10 / I-20 split impacted.
— Southwest TX: Freeze Warning continues through early this afternoon. Temperature in the upper 20’s.
— Southwest TX Guadalupe Pass: High Wind Warning continues through late this morning. Wind gusts to 75 mph.
— Far-west and southwest TX west of the I-10 / I-20 split and along the TX/Mexico border: Strong winds through midday today. Wind gusts 35-50 mph. Strongest winds early this morning and near the TX/NM border. I-10 impacted.
— Central and southeast TX: Strong winds decrease throughout the day. Wind gusts 35-45 mph this morning, then 30-35 mph by lunchtime. I-10, I-20, I-35, I-37 impacted.
— South-central and southwest coastal LA; coastal TX: Wind Advisories today. Wind gusts 30-40 mph. I-10 impacted.
— Southeast LA; southern MS; southern AL; FL Panhandle: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-10, I-12, I-55, I-59, I-65 impacted.
— Most of AR; northern MS; western TN and KY: Freeze Warnings tonight and Tuesday morning. Low temperatures 25-30 deg F.
Eastern:
— Portions of MI Upper Peninsula: Winter Storm Warnings (Keweenaw Peninsula) and Advisories today and tonight. Accumulations generally between 2-8 inches. I-75, US-41 impacted.
— MI western Lower Peninsula along the Lake Michigan shoreline: Lake effect snow on Tuesday. Several inches expected. I-196, US-31, US-131 impacted.
— Northern and western ME: Winter Weather Advisory continues through this afternoon. Total accumulations of 4-7 inches snow expected. I-95, US-201 impacted.
— Northern NH; eastern ME: Some freezing rain and sleet may mix in with the snow today. I-93, US-2 impacted.
