Temperatures may reach 95 to 105 degrees across much of Nevada and 110 to 120 degrees in the Mojave Desert, creating dangerous heat for daytime travel and outdoor stops. — California’s interior northern and central areas, Southern California’s inland valleys, mountains and deserts, and far western Arizona, including Joshua Tree, Pinnacles, and Lassen Volcanic National Parks: Extreme Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories today and Sunday, with temperatures reaching 102 to 109 degrees in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, up to 117 degrees in the Imperial Valley and up to 114 degrees in other desert areas. — Central California’s San Francisco, San Pablo, and Monterey Bay shorelines: Coastal Flood Advisory during evening high tides through early Thursday, with inundation up to 1.6 feet above ground in low-lying areas. Vulnerable shoreline roads and parking areas may flood, with isolated road closures possible.

— Parts of central and eastern Colorado, including Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and the Grand Valley: Heat Advisories today and Sunday, with temperatures up to 108 degrees.

— Northeast and east-central Colorado: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, with locally damaging wind gusts. I-70, I-76, I-80, US-6, US-24, US-30, US-34, US-36, US-40, US-287, US-385 potentially impacted.

— South-central and southwestern Arizona, including the Phoenix Metro area; also Grand Canyon National Park below 4000 feet: Extreme Heat Warnings today and Sunday, with temperatures up to 115 degrees around Phoenix. — Southern Connecticut, southeastern New York including NewYork City, much of New Jersey, southeastern Pennsylvania including Philadelphia, and northern Delaware: Heat Advisories today, with heat index values up to 102 degrees.

— Coastal southeast South Carolina and coastal northern Georgia: An area of disturbed weather moving up the Atlantic Coast off of north Florida is expected to impact the Low Country of South Carolina and Georgia this morning. Rainfall may be heavy at times and create local areas of flash flooding. I-16, I-26, I-95 potentially impacted.
