  • Wind Advisories this afternoon and tonight across parts of southern California: Wind gusts 30–55 mph will affect parts of the Southern California mountains and deserts.
  • Severe storms in the Central and Southern High Plains: Isolated severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening may bring damaging wind gusts and hail across parts of western Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles, and northwest Texas.
  • Flooding threat in Kansas: Flood Warnings continue through late Wednesday evening for central Kansas where 4–8 inches of rain have fallen and many rivers are at or above flood stage.

Weather Impacts Pacific Time Zone:

— Western and southern OR; northern CA: Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms this afternoon through Wednesday evening. 1/4 to 1 inch of rainfall expected by Wednesday night over many locations. I-5, I-84, US-20, US-26, US-95, US-97, US-101, US-199, CA-89, CA-299 impacted.

— Portions of east-central CA, including Kings Canyon National Park, and west-central NV: Dense Smoke Advisory continues this morning. Visibility 1/4 to 1 mile, accompanied by degraded air quality. US-6, US-95, US-395, CA-120 impacted.

Southern CA Mojave Desert Slopes, Apple and Lucerne Valleys, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego County Mountains, San Diego County Deserts: Wind Advisories this afternoon and tonight. Wind gusts to 45mph, except gusts 50-55 mph across the Mojave Desert Slopes. I-8, I-10, I-15, US-395, CA-14, CA-58, CA-62, CA-79 impacted.

— East-central NV: Strong winds Wednesday into early Wednesday night. Wind gusts 35-45 mph. US-6, US-50, US-93 impacted.

Weather Impacts Mountain Time Zone:

Eastern CO; extreme eastern NM: Isolated severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening may contain damaging wind gusts and hail. I-40, I-70, I-76, US-6, US-34, US-36, US-40, US-50, US-54, US-56, US-64, US-87, US-160, US-287, US-385 potentially impacted.

— Southwest and west-central UT: Strong winds this afternoon and evening. Wind gusts to 35 mph. I-15, US-6, US-50, US-89 impacted.

— Southwest MT: Strong winds Wednesday afternoon. Gusts 35-40 mph. I-15 impacted.

— East-central MT: Strong winds Wednesday afternoon. Gusts 35-40 mph. US-12 impacted.

— Portions of central and southwest WY; western CO; much of UT; central and northern AZ: Strong winds Wednesday into early Wednesday night. Wind gusts 35-45 mph. I-15, I-17, I-40, I-70, I-80, US-6, US-40, US-50, US-60, US-89, US-93, US-160, US-180, US-191, US-287, US-491 impacted.

Weather Impacts Central Time Zone:

— Eastern ND; northern MN: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-29, I-94, US-2, US-53, US-59, US-71 impacted.

Southwest ND; western SD: Strong winds Wednesday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts 35-50 mph. Strongest winds across northwest SD. I-90, US-12, US-18, US-83, US-85, US-212 impacted.

— Central and south-central NE; adjacent north-central KS: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-80, US-6, US-24, US-30, US-34, US-36, US-83, US-136, US-183 impacted.

Central KS: Flood Warning through late Wednesday evening. Up to 4-8 inches of rain have recently fallen across this region. Many rivers are at or above flood stage. Secondary roads off I-70, US-81, US-50, US-56 may be impacted.

Southwest NE; western KS; OK and TX Panhandles; portions of northwest TX: Isolated severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening may contain damaging wind gusts and hail. I-27, I-40, I-70, US-6, US-34, US-36, US-50, US-54, US-56, US-60, US-64, US-83, US-84, US-87, US-283, US-412 potentially impacted.

Weather Impacts Eastern Time Zone:

— MI western and northern Upper Peninsula: Rain showers and thunderstorms, some heavy, today. An inch or more of rain is possible. US-2, US-41, US-45 impacted.

— Coastal NC north of US-64; Virginia Beach; southern DELMARVA Peninsula: Strong winds today. Wind gusts 30-35 mph along the immediate coast. US-13, US-158, NC-12 impacted.

— VA Chesapeake Bay-Bridge Tunnel: Wind gusts to 30 mph this afternoon and evening. US-13 impacted.
