  • Extreme Heat Warning across parts of California, Arizona and Nevada through the weekend. Widespread coverage, multi-day duration, and temperatures near 100–110°F.
  • Strong winds persist across the Northern Rockies and western High Plains. Wind gusts as high as 80 mph along the Rocky Mountain Front.
  • Flood Warnings and Watches across Western Washington continue into the weekend. Heavy rain and snow melt will contribute to ongoing river flooding.

Weather Impacts Pacific Time Zone:

— Western Washington along I-5, I-90, and I-82. Flood Warnings and Watches through the weekend. High snow levels, an additional 2-5 inches of rainfall, and snowmelt runoff will lead to continued rises on area rivers with additional flooding possible at times this week.

— Southern California and southern Nevada along I-5, I-10, I-15, I-40, and I-8. Extreme Heat Warning through the weekend. Temperatures from the upper 90s to near 110°F will create dangerous heat exposure, especially for desert travel and RV cooling systems.

— Coastal and interior California along I-5 and I-80. Heat Advisory through Friday night. High temperatures in the 80s and 90s may lead to heat stress for sensitive travelers.

Weather Impacts Mountain Time Zone:

— Much of southern and western Arizona including I-10, I-17, I-19, I-8, and I-40. Extreme Heat Warning through Sunday night. Temperatures near or above 100°F will create dangerous conditions for prolonged travel.

— I-15 in Montana. High Wind Warning through Friday morning. Winds 40–50 mph with gusts up to 80 mph will create hazardous crosswinds for high-profile vehicles. Highest gusts along the Rocky Mountain Front.

— Central Montana. High Wind Watch Friday morning through Saturday morning. Wind gusts to 60 mph. I-90 near and east of the the Bozeman Pass may be impacted.

— Wyoming, adjacent Colorado and western Nebraska including I-80, I-25, I-76, and I-90. Red Flag (fire danger) Warning through Saturday evening. Gusty winds 35-45 mph and dry conditions increase wildfire risk.

Weather Impacts Central Time Zone:

— Western South Dakota and western Nebraska including I-80 and I-90. Red Flag (fire danger) Warning through Saturday evening. Dry and breezy conditions may increase roadside fire risk.

— Southern and western Minnesota including I-29, I-35, I-90, and I-94. Dense Fog Advisory through midday. Visibility below one-quarter mile will create hazardous travel conditions. Areas of dense fog may also be found in adjacent eastern South Dakota and northwest Iowa.

— Northern Wisconsin, including I-39, US-8, US-10 and US 51. Patchy fog and light icing through late morning. Reduced visibility and slick spots possible, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Weather Impacts Eastern Time Zone:

— Much of western and southern Michigan Lower Peninsula, including I-94 and I-69. Spotty rainshowers may create light icing on bridges this morning.
