Weather Impacts Pacific Time Zone:

WA northern Cascades: Snow today. Snow levels 4000-5000 feet. 1-3 inches on Stevens Pass. US-2 impacted.

Much of western WA: Flood Watches with embedded Flood Advisories and FLOOD WARNINGS continue through Friday afternoon. An atmospheric river will continue to impact the area and bring periods moderate to heavy rain to the region. Sharp rises are expected on area rivers, especially those flowing off the Olympics and Cascades. Saturated soils will bring increased potential for landslides and debris flows on burn scars. An additional 1-2 inches of rainfall in the Cascades, with up to 1/2 an inch of additional rainfall in lower terrain. I-5, I-90, US-2, US-12, US-101 impacted.

Central WA: FLOOD WARNINGS, Advisories and Watches Flood Watch remain in effect through Friday morning. Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. Between 1.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen in the last 24 hours. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area through early Friday morning. Mud and rockslides in steep terrain is also expected. I-82, I-90, US-2, US-12, US-97 impacted.

Much of central and southern WA; adjacent northwest ID; north-central OR: High Wind Warnings and Advisories expire early this morning. Wind gusts today and tonight. Wind gusts 50-60 mph in the early morning, but decreasing to gusts of 30 mph or less by lunchtime. I-82, I-84, I-90, US-2, US-12, US-97, US-195, US-395 impacted.

— Northwest CA: Dense Fog Advisory along the northern Humboldt Coast. US-101, CA-36 impacted.

— Central CA eastern and western edges of San Joaquin Valley: Dense Fog Advisories through late this morning. Fog mostly west of I-5 and east of CA-99. I-5 (south of Bakersfield), CA-33, CA-41, CA-49, CA-58, CA-140, CA-168, CA-180 impacted.

Weather Impacts Mountain Time Zone:

Northern ID; northwest MT: Flood Advisories and Watches continues through this afternoon. Heavy rain may fall on a deep primed snowpack leading to the melt increasing. Flows in rivers may increase quickly and reach critical levels. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. I-90, US-2, US-12, US-93, US–95 impacted.

— Northwest MT: Wind Advisory early this morning. Wind gusts to 60 mph. I-90, US-2, US-12 US-93 impacted.

All of MT east of the Rockies: A combination of Winter Storm Warnings, Watches and Advisories through late Friday night. Snow accumulations will range from 1-3 inches north and northeast to 4-9 inches around Billings and across southeast MT. Wind gusts 30-40 mph. I-15, I-90, I-94, US-2, US-12, US-87, US-89, US-191, US-212 impacted.

Southwest MT Madison River Valley: High Wind Warning through this afternoon. Wind gusts to 60 mph. US-287 impacted.

Weather Impacts Central Time Zone:

Western and central ND; northern, central and eastern SD: Winter Weather Advisories continue through this evening. Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch.  I-29, I-90, I-94, US-2, US-12, US-14, US-81, US-83, US-85, US-212, US-281 impacted.

— Central and eastern ND; northwest MN; northeast SD: Strong winds on Friday. Wind gusts to 40 mph. I-29, I-94, US-2, US-12, US-52, US-59, US-75, US-83, US-281 impacted.

North-central SD: ICE STORM WARNING through this afternoon. Significant icing. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch. US-12 impacted.

Western SD; western NE: Strong winds today. Wind gusts 35-50 mph. I-80, I-90, US-18, US-20, US-26, US-85 impacted.

Southeast MN; northwest, north-central and southeast IA: Winter Weather Advisories midday today through midnight tonight. Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze.  I-35, I-80, I-380, US-18, US-20, US-30, US-59, US-61, US-63, US-65, US-71, US-75, US-218 impacted.

Northwest and central IL: Winter Weather Advisories mid-afternoon through Friday morning. Snow expected. Total accumulations 2-5 inches. I-39, I-55, I-57, I-70, I-72, I-74, I-80 impacted.

Weather Impacts Eastern Time Zone:

Eastern MI Upper Peninsula; northwest MI Lower Peninsula: Winter Weather Advisories through this afternoon. Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Locally higher amounts possible. Winds gusting as high as 25 mph leading to blowing and drifting snow in prone areas. I-75, US-31, US-127, US-131 impacted.

Central and southern IN; southwest OH; north-central and northeast KY: Winter Weather Advisories this evening through Friday morning. Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Localized amounts up to 5 inches possible. I-64, I-65, I-69, 70, I-71, I-74, I-75 impacted.

Northeast OH; northwest and north-central PA; southwest NY: A combination of Lake Effect Snow Warnings, Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories today and tonight. Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches, with localized amounts as high as 7 inches in more persistent snow bands. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph causing significant blowing snow and greatly reduced visibility at times. I-79, I-80, I-86, I-90, NY Thruway, OH Turnpike impacted.

Central and southwest PA; far-western MD; northeast, central and southeast WV; southwest VA; northwest NC: BLIZZARD WARNINGS (MD and WV) and Winter Weather Advisories from the Allegheny Front in PA south to Asheville continue this morning. Additional snow accumulations of 1-3 inches and wind gusts to 45 mph. I-26, I-40, I-64, I-68, I-70, I-76, I-77, I-80, I-81, PA Turnpike impacted.

Parts of western and central NY downwind of Lake Ontario: A combination of Lake Effect Snow Warnings, Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories today and tonight. Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.  I-81, I-90, US-11, NY Thruway impacted.

Northern NY: Winter Weather Advisory today and tonight. Snow accumulations between 2 and 7 inches with higher amounts in the mountains. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. US-11 impacted.

Northern VT: Winter Weather Advisory today and tonight. Snow accumulations between 2 and 7 inches with higher amounts in the mountains. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. I-91, US-5 impacted.

MA; RI; northern and central CT: Wind Advisories this morning through Friday morning. Wind gusts to 50 mph. I-84, I-90, I-91, I-93, I-95, I-190, I-395, I-495, US-6, US-7, US-44 impacted.

— Parts of the north-central FL Peninsula: Satellite imagery and surface observations show that intermittent patchy dense fog is occurring early this morning with local visibilities of 1/4 mile or less. These conditions should improve by 7 to 8 AM this morning. The nature of the fog is such that visibilities will vary greatly over short distances. I-75, I-95, US-17 impacted.
