  • Winter Storm Warnings continue through Monday afternoon: Heavy snow and strong winds will significantly impact mountain travel across the California Sierra Nevada Mountains.
  • Winter Weather Advisories today and tonight: Freezing rain, sleet, and light snow may create slippery roads across northern North Dakota, much of Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, and the Minnesota Arrowhead.

Weather Impacts Pacific Time Zone:

Much of the WA Coast and northern Puget Sound: Coastal Flood Warning mid-morning through mid-afternoon. Significant coastal flooding due to high tides and storm surge is expected.  Inundation of 2-3 feet above ground level is possible along shorelines and low-lying coastal areas. Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure may be inundated.  US-101 potentially impacted.

A portion of south-central OR including Crater Lake National Park above 5000 feet: Winter Weather Advisory continues through this afternoon. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 15 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph over high and exposed terrain. OR 58, OR 62, OR 138 impacted.

South-central OR; northeast CA: Wind Advisories early this morning. Wind gusts to 60 mph. US-97, US-395, CA-139 impacted.

Northwest CA around Cape Mendocino: High Wind Warning early this morning. Wind gusts to 60 mph. US-101impacted.

Parts of north-central CA: Winter Storm Warning above 5000 feet continues through Monday afternoon. Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 18 inches, with 24 to 36 inches for the highest peaks and ridge-lines. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph over high and exposed terrain.  US-97, CA-3, CA-89, CA-96 impacted.

Northwest CA: Flood Watches and Advisories continues through this evening. Additional rounds of rainfall today into Monday will promote small stream flooding. Some breaks in the precipitation are possible, but will be brief and not allow for much chance for basins to drain. An additional rainfall of 1-4 inches through Monday is forecast. US-101, CA-1 impacted.

Northeast CA above 5000 feet: Winter Weather Advisory Monday morning. Snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches with locally up to 12 inches above 5000 feet west of US-395, and 1 to 3 inches above 5000 feet along and east of US-395. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. US-395, CA-36, CA-44, CA-70, CA-139 impacted.

Northern and central CA Sacramento Valley, Delta Region and Sierra Nevada foothills below 4000 feet: Flood Watches and Advisories continues through Monday afternoon. Additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected, highest in the foothills.  Major highways potentially impacted include I-5, I-80, US-50, CA-49, CA-99, CA-168, CA180.

CA Sierra Nevada Mountains: Winter Storm Warnings continue through Monday afternoon. Heavy snow expected above 5000 feet. Additional snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches above 4500 feet. 1 to 2 feet above 5000 feet, and 2 to 4 feet above 6000 feet. Locally higher amounts over the highest peaks. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.  Snow levels around 5000 to 6000 today, lowering further to around 4000 to 5000 feet by early Monday morning. Heaviest snow expected today. I-80, US-50 impacted.

CA eastern slopes Sierra Nevada Mountains: Winter Storm Warning continues through Monday morning. Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 feet above 8000 feet. Snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches for communities along US-395 with an additional 8 to 14 inches of snow between 7000 and 8000 feet. Wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph with ridge-top winds gusting over 60 mph at times.  US-6, US-395 impacted.

— Central CA coast from San Francisco to Big Sur: Strong winds Monday. Wind gusts to 40 mph. CA-1 impacted.

— Southwest NV Spring Mountains above 7000 feet: Winter Weather Advisory tonight. 5-8 inches of snow and wind gusts to 35 mph. NV-156,NV-157 impacted.

Weather Impacts Mountain Time Zone:

West-central ID: Wind Advisory through midday today. Wind gusts to 50 mph. US-12, US-95 impacted.

Central ID: Winter Weather Advisory through Monday afternoon. Snow. Additional snow accumulations between 2 to 6 inches below 7000 feet, including Pine Creek Pass. Above 7000 feet, 10 to 20 inches. Highest amounts will be above pass level. ID-21, ID-75 impacted.

— Northwest MT Rocky Mountain Front and adjacent foothills and plains: High Wind Watch Monday evening through Tuesday evening. Wind gusts to 75 mph. I-15, US-2, US-89 impacted.

— North-central MT: Freezing Fog and Dense Fog Advisories early this morning. US-2 impacted.

— Northeast MT: Winter Weather Advisory through midday today. Freezing rain expected. US-2 impacted.

— South-central MT Beartooth Foothills and Livingston Area: Wind Advisory through this afternoon. Wind gusts to 60 mph. I-90, US-89 impacted.

— East-central MT: Dense Fog Advisory this morning. US-12 impacted.

Much of western WY north of US-30: Winter Weather Advisories continue through late Monday morning. Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 8 and 16 inches. Locally higher amounts up to 2 feet in the Tetons. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph today. Snow levels generally 6000-6500 feet. US-14, US-16, US-20, US-26, US-89, US-189, US-212 impacted.

Much of southeast and east-central WY: High Wind Warnings continue through this afternoon. Wind gusts 65-80 mph. I-25, I-80, US-18, US-20, US-26, US-85, US-287 impacted.

North-central UT: Winter Weather Advisories continue through Monday night. Snow expected. Total snow accumulation between 8 to 18 inches expected, mainly above 7500 feet. Locally higher snow accumulation in excess of 24 inches possible for locations above 8500 feet across the Wasatch and Bear River Ranges.  I-80, US-6, US-89, US-91 impacted.

— Northeast and east-central UT; adjacent west-central CO: Dense Fog Advisories through late this morning. I-70, US-40, US-50, US-191 impacted.

— Much of central and south-central CO: Red Flag (fire danger) Warnings today. Wind gusts to 40 mph. I-25, I-70, US-24, US-50 impacted.

Northwest, central and south-central MT; northwest, central, east-central, south-central and southeast WY; central CO: Strong winds Sunday. Wind gusts 35-55 mph except as described by separate warnings and advisories listed above. I-15, I-25, I-70, I-80, I-90, US-2, US-12, US-18, US-20, US-26, US-30, US-40, US-50, US-85, US-87, US-89 impacted.

Central and southeast WY; central CO; north-central, central, east-central and south-central NM: Strong winds Monday. Wind gusts 35-55 mph. Major highways impacted include I-25, I-40, I-70, I-80, US-30, US-40, US-50, US-64.

Weather Impacts Central Time Zone:

Northern ND; northwest, central and eastern MN; MN Arrowhead along the Lake Superior Shoreline; central and northern WI: Winter Weather Advisories today and tonight. Freezing rain and mixed precipitation. Total snow accumulations up to one inch, sleet accumulations up to one tenth of an inch, and ice accumulations around a light glaze. 2-4 inches snow in the MN Arrowhead. I-29, I-35, I-90, I-94, US-2, US-8, US-10, US-51, US-52, US-53, US-59, US-75, US-83, US-85 impacted.

— Southwest and south-central ND; much of SD: Dense Fog Advisories through late this morning. I-90, I-94, US-14, US-14, US-18, US-81, US-83, US-85, US-212, US-281 impacted.

Southwest and south-central SD; northwest and north-central NE: Strong winds today. Wind gusts 35-55 mph. I-90, US-18, US-20, US-26,US-83, US-85 impacted.

— Southeast SD and northeast NE; southwest MN and northwest IA; eastern NE; central KS; parts of western OK and the northeastern TX Panhandle: Strong winds today. Wind gusts 30-40 mph. I-29, I-40, I-70, I-80, I-90 impacted.

— Northwest AR: Dense Fog Advisory this morning. I-49, US-62, US-65, US-412 impacted.

— Much of central AL: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-20, I-22, I-59, I-65, I-85 impacted.

Weather Impacts Eastern Time Zone:

MI Upper Peninsula; northern MI Lower Peninsula: Winter Weather Advisories this evening and tonight. Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulation 3-7 inches. Snow may change over to, and end as, freezing drizzle. I-75, US-2, US-10, US-23, US-31, US-41, US-45, US-131 impacted.

Southern NY including Long Island; CT; MA; RI: Light snow this morning moves west to east across this region. Snow accumulations generally 1/2 inch or less, but untreated roads will become slippery. I-84, I-87, I-90, I-91, I-95, I-495 (Long Island), US-6 (Cape Cod), NY Thruway, Mass Pike impacted.

— Much of northern and central GA; Upstate SC: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-20, I-26, I-75, I-77, I-85, US-1 impacted.

— Much of the central FL Peninsula: Dense Fog Advisories early this morning. I-4, I-75, I-95, US-1, US-27, US-98, US-192 impacted.
