  • Isolated severe thunderstorms with large hail possible across north-central and western Kansas Wednesday night.

Weather Impacts Pacific Time Zone:

— No significant impacts to RV Travel today or Tuesday.

Weather Impacts Mountain Time Zone:

North-central Montana and the Rocky Mountain Front: High Wind Warning beginning Tuesday morning through Tuesday night with winds 40 to 50 mph and gusts 75 to 90 mph, with blowing dust at times. Hazardous crosswinds for high-profile vehicles and sharply reduced visibility are possible. I-15 and parts of I-90 impacted.

Southwest Montana including Beaverhead County and the Madison River Valley: High Wind Warning beginning Tuesday morning through Tuesday night with winds 30 to 40 mph and gusts 60 to 65 mph. Hazardous crosswinds for high-profile vehicles are likely on open stretches and through exposed valleys. I-15 and I-90 impacted.

South-central Montana near Judith Gap and the Melville Foothills: High Wind Watch beginning Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning with winds 30 to 40 mph and gusts up to 60 mph. Difficult travel is possible for high-profile vehicles if stronger winds develop. I-90 potentially impacted.

Northeastern New Mexico and the southeastern corner of Colorado: Red Flag Warning beginning this afternoon through late evening with gusts to 40 mph and very dry air. Difficult travel is possible in blowing dust and any fire start could spread quickly near roadside stops. I-25, US-64, US-160, US-287 impacted.

Weather Impacts Central Time Zone:

Southwest Kansas, Oklahoma Panhandle, and northern Texas Panhandle: Red Flag Warning beginning this afternoon through late evening with gusts to 40 mph and very dry air. Difficult travel is possible in blowing dust and any fire start could spread quickly near roadside stops. US-50, US-54, US-60, US-64, US-83, US-87 impacted.

North-central and western Kansas: Thunderstorms with isolated large hail will be possible Wednesday night. I-70 potentially impacted.

— Central Missouri near Blue Lick: Flood Warning through Wednesday morning. Water over roads and flooded low spots are possible near the Blackwater River.

— Northern Illinois near Rockford: Flood Warning through Tuesday morning. Water over roads and flooded low spots are possible near the Kishwaukee River.

— Western and north-central Illinois from the Quad Cities through the Illinois River valley: Flood Warning beginning this afternoon and continuing through Friday evening. Minor river flooding may put water over roads and flood low spots near the Rock River and Illinois River.

— Northeastern Illinois from Lake County into the Fox River corridor: Flood Warning through Friday morning, and Flood Watch beginning Tuesday evening through Sunday evening. High water in low-lying areas and periodic road flooding are possible near the Des Plaines and Fox rivers.

— South-central Wisconsin from Necedah and Portage to Reedsburg and Baraboo: Flood Warning beginning around midday through Friday morning, and Flood Watch beginning late evening through Wednesday morning farther west near the Black River. Water over roads and flooded low spots are possible near the Wisconsin, Yellow, and Baraboo rivers.

— East-central Iowa near Marengo: Flood Warning beginning Thursday morning through Sunday morning. Rising water and flooded low spots may slow travel near the Iowa River.

Weather Impacts Eastern Time Zone:

Florida Peninsula, especially the eastern half: Heavy rainfall expected today through Thursday. 2-6 inches of rain likely. Localized flash flooding probable. I-10, I-75, I-95 impacted.

— The Wabash Valley from east-central Illinois into western Indiana: Flood Warning through Tuesday morning to Thursday afternoon. Water over roads and flooded low spots are possible near the Wabash River.

— West Michigan from Grand Rapids and Lansing to Ionia and Robinson Township: Flood Warning through Sunday afternoon. High water in low-lying areas and flooded roads are possible near the Grand, Maple, Thornapple, Red Cedar, and Sycamore Creek basins.

— Eastern Lower Michigan from Flint and Midland to Saginaw and Mount Clemens: Flood Warning through Thursday evening. Water over roads and flooded low spots are possible near the Clinton, Cass, Shiawassee, Tittabawassee, and Saginaw river basins.

— Northern Lower Michigan near Sterling: Flood Warning through early evening. Flooded low spots are possible near the Rifle River.

— Northwest Indiana into northern Indiana and far northwest Ohio: Flood Warning through this afternoon to Sunday morning. Water over roads and flooded low spots are possible near the Kankakee, Saint Joseph, and Maumee river basins.

— Northern and east-central Ohio: Flood Warning through late morning to Thursday morning. Water over roads and flooded low spots are possible near small streams, the Maumee River, Killbuck Creek, and Stillwater Creek.

— Upstate New York from Monroe County east through the Mohawk Valley to Syracuse and Ithaca: Flood Warning through late morning to Wednesday morning, and Flood Advisory through late evening in Oswego County. High water in low-lying areas and flooded roads are possible near Irondequoit Creek, West Canada Creek, Onondaga Lake, Cayuga Lake, and the Salmon River.
