Weather Impacts Pacific Time Zone:
— Much of the WA Coast: Coastal Flood Warnings and Watches through Saturday afternoon. Inundation of 2 feet or more above ground level is possible along shorelines and low-lying coastal areas. Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure may be inundated. Greatest impacts will occur during the late morning high tides today and Saturday. US-101 potentially impacted.
— Much of WA east of the Cascades; north-central OR; northern ID; much of eastern OR: Winter Weather Advisories through early this morning. Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch. 1-4 inches of snow may mix with the freezing rain across northeast WA and northern ID. I-84, I-90, US-2, US-12, US-20, US-26, US-95, US-97, US-195, US-395 impacted.
— Southwest OR Rogue Valley (near Medford) above 2000 feet: Wind Advisory this afternoon and tonight. Wind gusts to 55 mph. I-5 impacted.
— Northern CA I-5 Corridor Shasta Valley: High Wind Watches and Advisories this afternoon through late Saturday night. Wind gusts to 50 mph late today and tonight, increasing to 65 mph on Saturday. I-5 impacted.
— Southwest OR coast and northwest CA coast: High Wind Warnings, Watches and Advisories this afternoon through Sunday morning. Wind gusts 50-65 mph. US-101, US-199 impacted.
— Northern CA coast: Coastal Flood Warnings and Watches through Sunday afternoon. High astronomical tides and large surf may cause moderate to major flooding in low lying areas. Up to one foot of saltwater inundation above ground level is possible in low lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. Several coastal roads may be closed. Low lying property and some critical infrastructure will be inundated. US-101 potentially impacted.
— Parts of northern and northwest CA: Winter Storm Watch Saturday afternoon through late Sunday evening. Heavy snow possible above 5000 Feet. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 2 feet. South winds could gust as high as 50 mph over high and exposed terrain. Snow levels around 6000 feet on Saturday will fall to between 5000 to 5500 feet by Saturday evening and night, then down to 4500 feet late Sunday night. US-97, CA-3, CA-89, CA-96 impacted.
— Northwest CA: Flood Watch this afternoon through Sunday evening. Widespread moderate to heavy rain from two consecutive strong weather systems will produce 2-4 inches of rainfall starting this afternoon. US-101, CA-1 impacted.
— Western CA, along and west of the coastal ranges, from the OR border south to Santa Barbara: Wind Advisories this afternoon through Saturday evening. Wind gusts to 50 mph. Strongest winds along the northwest CA coast. US-101, US-199, CA-1, CA-17, CA-128 impacted.
— Northern CA Sacramento Valley: Wind Advisory early tonight through Saturday night. Wind gusts 35-45 mph. Strongest winds are generally expected from Chico northward. I-5, CA-32, CA-36, CA-99, CA-149 impacted.
— Northeast CA, eastern Sierra Nevada Slopes: Flood Watch Saturday morning through Monday afternoon. Periods of moderate to heavy rain may fall over a decent snowpack from the Christmas storm system. Rain/snow elevations will be initially around 6500 to 7000 feet Saturday, increasing runoff as the snow melts. Flows in rivers may increase quickly and approach flood levels. Rain/snow elevations are forecast to drop below 6000 feet Sunday into Monday. US-395, CA-44, CA-70, CA-89, CA-139 potentially impacted.
—CA Sierra Nevada Mountains: Winter Storm Warnings late this evening through Monday afternoon. Heavy snow expected above 5000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches above 5000 feet, with 2 to 4 feet above 6000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. Snow levels 6500-7500 feet tonight into Saturday morning, lowering to 5000 to 6000 feet Saturday afternoon into Sunday, and further lowering to around 4500 to 5500 feet by early Monday morning. Heaviest snow expected on Sunday.. I-80, US-50 impacted.
— CA eastern slopes Sierra Nevada Mountains: Winter Storm Warning tonight through Monday morning. Heavy snow. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 feet above 8000 feet with up to 4 feet locally on highest peaks. 1 to 4 inches for communities along Highway 395. Ridgetop winds gusting over 100 mph at times. US-6, US-395 impacted.
— Southern NV; southeast CA along and north of the I-40 corridor: Dense Fog Advisories early this morning. I-11, I-15, I-40, US-93, US-95, CA-127 impacted.

— Most of northern and central ID; much of western MT: Winter Weather Advisories through midday today. Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch, up to two inches at Lookout Pass, and ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch. I-90, US-2, US-12, US-93, US-95 impacted.
— Central and south-central MT; southern WY; central CO; north-central NM; central NM along the I-40 corridor: Strong winds today. Wind gusts 35-55 mph. I-25, I-40, I-70, I-80, I-90 (Livingston area) impacted.
— Eastern MT: Dense Fog Advisories through late this morning. I-94, US-2, US-12 US-212 impacted.
— West-central WY: Winter Weather Advisories continue through this evening. Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches with locally higher amounts up to 12 inches in the Tetons and Salt River Range. Winds gusting 25 to 35 mph through the morning, decreasing through the afternoon. Snow levels 6500-7000 feet. US-26, US-89, US-189 impacted.
— Southeast ID; north-central, central and southwest UT: Winter Weather Advisories this morning. Up to 3 inches of snow. I-15, I-70, I-80, US-6, US-40, US-89, US-191 impacted.
— Southeast WY: High Wind Warnings through this evening. Wind gusts to 65 mph. I-25, I-80, US-287 impacted.

— Northeast OH; northwest PA; western NY downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario: Winter Storm and Lake Effect Snow Warnings and Advisories continue through Saturday morning. Heavy snow expected. Additional snow accumulations will range from 3-7 inches in northwest PA to 1 to 2 feet downwind of Lake Ontario. Snow should taper off downwind of Lake Erie this afternoon.
