- Heaviest wildfire smoke today and Monday will be across the Pacific Northwest, northern Rockies and the northern High Plains.
- Next Atlantic tropical system (Ernesto) likely to form in a couple of days. Although preliminary indications are that this storm should stay offshore, East Coast travelers should monitor forecasts starting mid-week.

— Portions of central, north-central and northeast WA: Red Flag (fire danger) Warnings this afternoon through Monday for mostly dry thunderstorms with abundant lightning. Outflow wind gusts in the vicinity of thunderstorms may reach 40 mph. US-2, US-97 potentially impacted.
— North-central OR, including the eastern Columbia Gorge: Strong winds late Monday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts 30-35 mph. I-84 US-97 impacted.
Weather Impacts Mountain Time Zone:
— Eastern MT; eastern WY; eastern CO: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible Tuesday. I-70, I-76, I-80, I-90, I-94 potentially impacted.
— Portions of west-central, south-central, and southeast WY; north-central CO: Strong winds today. Wind gusts 30-40 mph. I-70, I-80, US-26, US-34, US-40, US-287 impacted.
— Eastern WY; northeast CO: Isolated severe thunderstorms, capable of damaging wind gusts and hail, are possible this afternoon and early evening. I-25, I-70, I-76, I-80, I-90, US-18 potentially impacted.
— Much of eastern WY: Strong to marginally severe thunderstorms possible Monday afternoon and evening. I-90, US-18, US-20 potentially impacted.
— Central, south-central and southwest UT, including Capitol Reef NP, Zion NP and Glen Canyon Recreation Area: Flood Watches this afternoon and evening. Strong thunderstorms may lead to heavy rain and flash flooding. I-15, I-70, US-89 potentially impacted.
— South-central UT: FLASH FLOOD WARNING this morning. Over one inch of rain fell late last night in heavy thunderstorms. Flash flooding is occurring or imminent in creeks, streams and typically dry washes, even in locations distant from the rainfall. US-89 potentially impacted.
— East-central CO: Dense Fog Advisory this morning. I-70, US-34, US-385 impacted.

— Southwest and south-central SD; western and central NE; northwest KS: Isolated severe thunderstorms, capable of damaging wind gusts, hail, and an isolated tornado, are possible this afternoon and early evening. I-70, I-80, I-90, US-18, US-20, US-83 potentially impacted.
— Western ND; western SD; western NE: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible Tuesday. I-80, I-90, I-94 potentially impacted.
— Northwest KS: Dense Fog Advisory this morning. I-70 impacted.
— Central OK, including Oklahoma City: FLASH FLOOD WARNING through mid-morning. 1-3 inches of rain have fallen late last night and an additional 1-2 inches of rainfall are possible in heavy thunderstorms. I-35, I-40, I-44 potentially impacted.
— Southeast KS; central and eastern OK; southwest MO; northwest AR: Heavy rain showers and thunderstorms today through Monday morning may lead to local areas of flash flooding. 1-3 inches of rain expected in heavier storms. I-35, I-40, I-44, I-49, I-70 potentially impacted.
— Southwest OK and adjacent north-central TX: Heat Advisory today. Heat index values 105-110 deg F.
— Much of the southeast TX Coast south of Galveston: Heat index values on Monday 110-115 deg F in many locations.

— Central and northern NY: Strong thunderstorms possible late this afternoon and this evening. I-81, I-87, I-90, NY Thruway potentially impacted.
— Much of eastern NC; northeast SC: Flood Watches this afternoon and evening. Up to an inch of rainfall in thunderstorms may create or exacerbate flooding conditions. I-20, I-40, I-95, US-17 potentially impacted.
— Southeast SC, inland of US-17: FLOOD WARNING through this afternoon. 10-23 inches of rain associated with Debby fell last week, and extensive flooding is still occurring. I-26, I-95, and especially secondary roads off the interstates are potentially impacted.
— Southeast SC; coastal and southern GA; northern and southern FL: Heat Advisories today Heat Index values generally between 104-111 deg F.
