These are the most significant weather impacts to RV travel over the next two to three days. I do not list every area of rain, showers, or breezy winds. It would be exhausting (for both of us!). Please check out the animations and graphics for a good depiction of the weather along your route.

Pacific:

— Western WA Puget Sound and I-5 corridor; east-central WA: Freezing Fog and Dense Fog Advisories. Fog will be slow to lift and areas will likely persist after midday today. I-5, I-90, US-2, US-101 impacted.

— Southern WA Cascades; OR Cascades: Winter Storm Watches and Advisories Thursday morning through Saturday afternoon. Snow elevations 3500-4000 feet. Long duration snow may bring 1-2 feet of snow, especially at higher elevations, and wind gusts to 50 mph. US-26, US-97 impacted.

— Much of CA central and southern San Joaquin Valley: Freeze Warnings tonight into Thursday morning. Low temperatures in the 20’s.

— CA Central Coast: Strong winds Thursday afternoon. Gusts 30-35 mph. US-101, CA-1 impacted.

Mountain:

— Portions of east-central and southeast WY: Strong winds through this afternoon. Gusts to 45 mph. I-25 impacted.

— North-central AZ and adjacent UT: Winter Weather Advisory above 7000 this evening and tonight. 2-6 inches of snow expected. US-89 impacted.

— Much of western and northwest NM; portions of central and north-central NM: Winter Storm Watches and Advisories late tonight through Friday. 2-6 inches snow expected except 8-14 inches above 9000 feet. I-25, I-40 impacted.

— Southeast NM and adjacent TX Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains: High Wind Watch Thursday. Gusts to 75 mph. US-180 impacted.

— Southern and portions of southwest NM: Strong winds Thursday. Gusts 30-45 mph. I-10, I-25 impacted.

Central:

— Eastern TX; central and eastern OK: southwest AR; northwest LA: Rain, some moderate, Thursday afternoon and evening. I-10, I-20, I-30, I-40, I-45, I-49 impacted.

— Southwest TX; portions of west-central TX: Strong winds Thursday. Gusts to 45 mph. I-10, I-20 impacted.

— TX Coast: Strong winds Thursday. Gusts 30-40 mph. I-10, I-37, I-45, I-69 impacted.

— Much of LA; eastern AR; western and central TN; northern and western MS; northern AL: Strong winds Thursday evening through Friday morning. Gusts 30-40 mph. I-10, I-12, I-20, I-22, I-24, I-40, I-55, I-59, I-65 impacted.

— Southeast TX and adjacent southwest LA: Scattered thunderstorms, some severe, possible on Thursday. A couple of tornadoes possible during the day. I-10, I-45 potentially impacted.

— Eastern TX; southeast OK; southwest AR; western and central LA: Some thunderstorms may be marginally severe. Slight chance of hail. I-10, I-20, I-30, I-35, I-45, I-49 potentially impacted.

— Southern and southeast LA; southern and central MS; southern and central AL; western FL Panhandle: Scattered thunderstorms, a few of which may become severe, Friday. I-10, I-12, I-20, I-49, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-85 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— Western NY downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario: Winter Weather Advisories through midday today. An additional inch or so of snow is possible downwind of Lake Erie; additional accumulations of 2-5 inches downwind of Lake Ontario. I-81, I-90, NY Thruway impacted.

— Western and northern NY: Strong winds Thursday afternoon and evening. Gusts to 35 mph. I-81, I-86, I-87, I-90, NY Thruway impacted.



Overall weather impacts to RV travel midday Thursday 30 November. Impacts range from level 1 (Marginal) to level 5 (Critical). Severe thunderstorms over southeast Texas, strong winds over southwest Texas and southern New Mexico, and snow over central and northwest New Mexico.
