- Lingering strong thunderstorms across the Southeast Wednesday.
- Heavy rain continues along the Gulf Coast, Florida and into the Mid-Atlantic Region on Wednesday.
- Strong winds in the northern Rockies on Thursday.
- More heavy rain for the South Thursday and Friday.

- Chance of strong winds across the Southwest and western TX 17-21 May.
- Above normal temperatures and excessive heat possible for south and southwest Texas, including Big Bend National Park, 18-21 May.
- Much of the US east of I-35 will be wetter than normal. Greater chance of above normal precipitation will be across the Southeast.
- Most of the country will see at or above normal temperatures; the Pacific Northwest will be the exception.
