Grand Teton Forecast Tuesday – Wednesday 28-29 September

Summer’s over…

Tuesday: Increasing clouds in the afternoon. Afternoon winds gusting 18-25 mph. Highs in the low 60’s. Chance of an isolated shower or two starting midday. Rain and snow showers developing just south and east of the Park late Tuesday afternoon and continuing Tuesday night. Snow levels starting at 8500 feet but falling to 7000 feet by Wednesday morning.

Wednesday: Cloudy in the morning with a chance of rain and snow showers. Most of the rain and snow will remain south and east of the Park. Clearing starting late morning. Much cooler, with highs in the mid 50’s.

Smoke forecast: Smoke should mostly clear from the Park by Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday will see variable smoke conditions associated with both the fires in Idaho and the storm passing to the south of the Park.

Extended Outlook:

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the low 60’s.

Friday – Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 60’s.
