  • Developing storm over the lower Mississippi River Valley will produce severe weather, including a few tornadoes, across the central Gulf Coast this afternoon and tonight. Southern Louisiana is at highest risk.
  • Expect very strong winds from this same storm Thursday from Kansas to the Texas Gulf Coast.
  • High winds over the southern New England Coast gradually ease today.

— Northwest and north-central WA: Flood watches for Thursday and Thursday night. I-5, I-90 impacted.

— CA San Joaquin Valley: Dense Fog Advisories through midday. CA-99 impacted.

— CA Ventura and Los Angeles County Mountains: Wind Advisory through midmorning. Gusts to 45 mph. I-5, US-101 impacted.

— Northern ID Bonner County: Flood Watch Thursday morning through Friday afternoon.

— West-central MT and adjacent eastern ID: Winter Weather Advisory through midmorning. 1-3 inches accumulation. I-90 on northern edge of advisory.

— Northwest and west-Central MT: High Wind Warnings and Advisories through this evening. Gusts 45-60 mph. I-15, I-90 impacted.

— Southeast ID: Wind Advisory this afternoon. Gusts to 50 mph. I-15, I-84 impacted.

— Southeast WY: High Wind Warning through Thursday morning. Gusts to 60 mph. I-80 impacted.

— West-central WY: Winter Weather Advisories until noon for Wind River Range. 1-3 inches additional accumulation.

— Southwest and south-central KS, western OK and adjacent northeast NM, western, central and northern TX: High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories through this evening. Gusts 45-60 mph. Strongest winds over the western TX and OK Panhandles and southwest KS. I-10, I-20, I-35, I-40, I-70 impacted.

— Portions of northeast TX, including Dallas Ft Worth and Waco: Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 08:00 CT this morning. Wind gusts to 70 mph and quarter-sized hail possible. I-20, I-30, I-35, I-45 potentially impacted.

— Southeast TX, southern and central LA, southern MS, coastal AL and extreme western FL Panhandle: Risk of severe thunderstorm with damaging winds and a few tornadoes this afternoon and tonight. I-10, I-45, I-49, I-55, I-59 potentially impacted. Greatest risk of severe weather over southern LA west of New Orleans.

— East TN border with NC: High Wind Watch for Thursday. Gusts to 60 mph. I-40 potentially impacted.

— Central and northern AL, adjacent south-central TN, northern GA: Wind Advisories tonight through Thursday afternoon. Gusts to 40 mph. I-20, I-22, I-59, I-65, I-75, I-85 impacted.

— Coastal ME, NH, eastern MA, coastal RI and CT, western Long Island: High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories through this afternoon. Gusts 45-65 mph. Winds strongest this morning over eastern MA. I-95 impacted.
