  • A storm will move across the Inter-mountain West, Northern Rockies and into the western High Plains by Wednesday. Snow is forecast for the higher terrain with rain for lower elevations.
  • Later this week, a more significant storm is possible for the West, especially for northern California.

— Northwest OR: Dense Fog Advisory through midmorning. I-5 impacted.

— Southwest OR and northwest CA coasts: High Wind Watch and Wind Advisories this evening and tonight. Gusts. 50-60 mph.

— South-central OR and adjacent northern CA: Wind Advisories this evening through Wednesday morning. Gusts to 55 mph. I-5 impacted.

— CA Northern Trinity County: Winter Weather Advisory above 4500 feet this evening through Wednesday morning. 3-6 inches snow and wind gusts up to 50 mph.

— Northeast UT, extreme southwest WY: Winter Weather Advisories through midday. 2-5 additional inches snow likely. I-15, I-80 impacted.

— Higher terrain of central, northern and eastern WY, Black Hills of SD: A combination of Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories tonight through late tonight. Snow accumulations 4-8 inches in the lower elevations to 12-18 inches in the mountains. I-25 likely impacted.

—West-central SD: Wind Advisory today. Gusts to 45 mph. I-90 impacted.

— North-central CO above 9000 feet: Winter Weather Advisory today. 4-8 inches snow expected. I-70 on the southern edge of the advisory area.

— South-central CO Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains: High Wind Warning through midday. Gusts to 75 mph. I-25 is just to the east of the warning area.
