Late season storm brings rain, higher elevations snows and gusty winds to much of CA and the west. Severe weather returns to the Southern Plains on Tuesday.


— CA Sierra Nevada Mountains and northern CA mountains above 4500 feet: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories though midday Monday. Up to 7-10 additional inches snow expected. I-80 impacted.

— Much of southern CA, southern and central NV, southern and western UT, central and northern AZ, northwest CO: High Wind Warnings (western UT) and Wind Advisories through late this evening. Gusts 50-55 mph. I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40, I-70, CA-58 impacted.

— Central MT: Winter Weather Advisories through Monday morning. Snow accumulations 2-5 inches.

— West-central WY above 8000 feet: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon through Tuesday morning. Snow accumulations 6-10 inches, gusts to 40 mph.

— Northeast, north-central UT: Winter Storm Watch late tonight through Monday evening. 6-12 inches snow possible with gusts to 40 mph. I-15, I-80 potentially impacted.

— Southwest OH, southern IN, north and west KY, southern IL, western TN, southeast MO, northeast AR, northwest MS: Dense fog through midday.
