Pacific:
— Southeast OR: Strong Winds this afternoon. Gusts 30-40 mph.
— Eastern OR: Strong thunderstorms this afternoon may produce damaging wind gusts. I-84 potentially impacted.
— Most of CA except the immediate coast and mountains; southern NV: Excessive Heat Warnings continue through Thursday. High temperatures will range from 105-115 deg F in most locations. I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40, I-80, CA-58, CA-99 among the highways impacted.
— Southern CA: Growing potential for a significant flooding event starting Friday, with heavy rains associated with Hurricane Kay, currently located southwest of the Baja Peninsula. Although Kay’s winds will weaken and the center of the storm will turn away from the CA coast, its rains will likely spread across southern CA Friday and into the weekend. If you have travel or camping plans across southern CA this weekend, including travel on I-8, I-10, I-15, please stay informed of the latest forecasts and flood threat.
Mountain:
— Northwest AZ and south-central UT, Grand Canyon below 4000 feet and Glen Canyon below 5000 feet: Excessive Heat Warnings through this evening. Temperatures may reach 105 deg F in Glen Canyon and up to 115 deg F in Phantom Ranch, Grand Canyon.
— Portions of south-central AZ: Excessive Heat Warning through this evening. High temperatures 105-110 deg F. I-10, I-17 impacted.
— North-central MT Rocky Mountain Front, including all of Glacier County: High Wind Warning until late this evening. Gusts to 65 mph.
— Central ID; western and south-central MT: Strong thunderstorms this afternoon may produce damaging wind gusts. I-15, I-84, I-90 potentially impacted.
Central:
— South-central and southeast WI; adjacent IL: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-39, I-43, I-90, I-94 impacted.
— Parts of western TN and northeast MS: Dense Fog Advisory this morning. I-40 impacted.
Eastern:
— No significant impacted to RV travel today or Thursday.
