  • Strong Santa Ana winds develop over Southern California this evening & continue through Friday.
  • Winter weather develops over the Texas Panhandle and eastern New Mexico Thanksgiving evening impacting I-40.
  • Eastern Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi will see heavy rains Thursday and Friday; maybe some severe thunderstorms for southeast Texas Thanksgiving afternoon.

Pacific:

Southern CA Coast, coastal mountains and valleys from Santa Barbara to San Diego: High Wind Warnings and Advisories from late this afternoon through Friday. Gusts 50-70 mph. I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15, US-101 all impacted.

— Southeast CA, southern NV and adjacent AZ: Wind Advisories this evening through Thursday. Gusts to 45 mph. I-15, I-40 impacted.

Mountain:

Central and north-central ID; west-central and northwest MT: Winter Weather Advisories continue through this morning. Total snow accumulations of 1-2 inches in the valleys and 3-5 inches over the passes. I-90 impacted.

Central and south-central MT: Winter Weather Advisories today. Snow accumulations up to 3 inches in the foothills and 3-6 inches at and above pass level. Wind gusts to 45 mph. I-90 impacted.

Southeast MT and adjacent north-central WY: Winter Weather Advisory this afternoon and tonight. 1-3 inches snow expected. I-90 impacted.

Portions of east-central and south-central WY; adjacent north-central CO: Winter Weather Advisories midday today through early Thursday morning. Snow accumulations will range from 2-4 inches on the High Plains to 5-8 inches in the mountains. Wind gusts to 50 mph. I-25, I-80 impacted.

Southeast WY: High Wind Warning through this afternoon. Gusts 60-65 mph. I-25, I-80 impacted.

East-central NM: Winter Storm Watch Thursday evening through Friday evening. 4 or more inches of snow and wind gusts to 35 mph possible. I-40 potentially impacted.

Central:

Much of the western and southwestern TX Panhandle: Winter Storm Watch Thursday evening through Friday evening. Up to 5 inches of snow and wind gusts to 35 mph. I-40 potentially impacted.

— South-central KS: Dense Fog Advisory this morning.

— Southeast TX; southwest LA: Isolated strong or severe thunderstorms possible Thursday afternoon and evening. Damaging winds gusts and a tornado or two are possible. I-10, I-45 potentially impacted.

— Eastern TX; LA; southern AR; central and southern MS: Heavy rains Thursday and Thursday night bring a slight risk of flash flooding to the region. Major highways potentially impacted include I-10, I-12, I-20, I-30, I-49, I-55, I-59.

Eastern:

— Southeast FL Peninsula: Dense Fog Advisory this morning. I-75, I-95 impacted.
