  • Record high temperatures are possible this week across most of the Southern U.S.
  • Monsoonal showers and thunderstorms may continue to produce flash flooding across parts of the Southwest and southern Rockies.
  • Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible across the upper Ohio Valley into the central Appalachians and the Mid-Atlantic this afternoon and evening.

Pacific:

— No significant impacts to RV travel today or Thursday.

Mountain:

— Portions of north-central and southwest NM: Flood Watch through this evening for excessive monsoon rainfall. I-25 potentially impacted.

Central:

— South-central NE; north-central KS: Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind, large hail and tornadoes are possible Thursday. I-35, I-70, I-80 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

Southeast OH; NY Southern Tier; much of PA; northern and eastern WV; most of MD; DC; northern VA: Slight risk of isolated severe thunderstorms with wind damage and hail this afternoon and evening. I-64, I-66, I-68, I-70, I-76, I-77, I-79, I-80, I-81, I-84, I-86, I-88, I-99, PA Turnpike.

— Portions of western NY; central PA; central and western MD; eastern WV and northern VA: Flood Watch this afternoon and evening for excessive rainfall. I-66, I-70, I-76, I-80, I-81, I-99, PA Turnpike potentially impacted.
