  • Severe weather today may produce large hail, high winds, and a threat of tornadoes across Texas.
  • Chance of severe weather spreads into the Lower Mississippi, Tennessee and Ohio Valleys on Wednesday.
  • Accumulating snow today on Eisenhower Pass, I-70, in Colorado.

Pacific:

— Northern CA Sacramento Valley: Winds gusting 30-35 mph today. Advisories unlikely. I-5, CA-99 impacted.

Mountain:

— Eastern UT; southwest CO; northeast AZ: Winds gusting 35-45 mph this afternoon. Advisories unlikely. I-25, I-40, I-70 impacted.

Central CO west of I-25: Winter Storm Warnings above 11,000 feet and Winter Weather Advisories above 8000 feet today. Accumulations range from 3-6 inches above 8000 feet to 5-10 inches above 11,000 feet. I-70 impacted.

— Northwest and west-central NM: Wind Advisories late this morning through this evening. Gusts 40-50 mph. I-40 impacted.

— Southwest and south-central NM: Winds gusting 30-40 mph late this morning through this evening. Advisories unlikely. I-10 impacted.

— Far-west TX from the NM border to the I-10/I-20 split: Winds gusting 35-45 mph this afternoon. Advisories unlikely. I-10, I-20 impacted.

Central:

Eastern and south-central KS; OK except for the Panhandle; TX Panhandle Flash Flood Watches and Warnings through Wednesday for continued heavy rains. I-27, I-35, I-40, I-44, I-70 potentially impacted.

— Southwest NE; western KS; OK Panhandle: Wind gusts 30-45 mph Wednesday. Advisories possible. I-70, I-80 impacted.

Northeast TX; southwest AR; northwest LA: Flash Flood Watches through Thursday for heavy rains. I-20, I-30, I-45, I-49 potentially impacted.

Most of TX along and north of I-10, excluding the Panhandle; southern OK; west-central and southwest AR; northwest LA: Numerous thunderstorms are expected today. Some severe thunderstorms are possible, with a threat of hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes. I-10, I-20, I-27, I-30, I-35, I-45, I-49 potentially impacted.

— Most of IA, eastern NE: Winds gusting 30-40 mph tonight. Advisories unlikely. I-35, I-80 impacted.

— Portions of western VA: Flood Watch continues through midday today for excessive runoff. I-64, I-81 potentially impacted.
