Pacific:

— Central and south-central WA; adjacent north-central OR: Dense Fog Advisories through midday today. I-82, I-84, I-90, US-395 impacted.

— South-central OR and northern CA I-5 corridor from Medford OR to Weed CA: Wind Advisories through mid-morning. Gusts to 50 mph. I-5 impacted.

Northern and northeast CA above 4000 feet: Winter Storm Warnings through this afternoon. 6-10 inches snow above 4000 feet; up to 30 inches snow at higher elevations. Wind gusts to 40 mph. I-5, US-395 impacted.

Coastal and western CA from Santa Barbara north to Eureka, mostly west of I-5; also central and southern Sacramento Valley; the Delta region; northern San Joaquin Valley: Wind Advisories through this afternoon. Gusts 45-60 mph. Strongest winds on exposed headlands and coastal regions. Strong winds end from north to south associated with the frontal passage. Major highways impacted include I-5, I-80, US-101, CA-1, CA-99.

Most of northern and central CA west of the Sierra Nevada mountains from Oceanside to Eureka and from the Inland Empire to north of Redding: Flood Watches and Advisories through Wednesday. Heaviest rain today along the CA coast; heaviest rain on Wednesday in northern CA. Major highways potentially impacted include I-5, I-80, US-101, CA-1, CA-58, CA-99

CA Sierra Nevada Mountains: Winter Storm Warnings through late tonight. Heavy snow redevelops this morning. Additional accumulations of 1-2 feet at 5000 feet and 2-4 feet in the higher passes. Wind gusts to 50 mph. I-80, US-50 impacted.

— Northwest and west-central NV along the CA border: Winter Weather Advisories through midday today. 2-5 inches above 5000 feet. I-80, US-6, US-50, US-95 impacted.

Central CA west of the Sierra Nevada mountains; coastal southern CA: Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds or even a brief tornado are possible today. Major highways potentially impacted include I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15, I-80, US-101, CA-1, CA-99.

Central NV: Winter Weather Advisories through this evening. Up to 7 inches of snow. Wind gusts to 50 mph. US-6, US-50, US-93, US-95 impacted.

Southern and east-central NV: Isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds gusts possible today. I-15, US-6, US-93, US-95 potentially impacted.

Southern CA mountains from Santa Barbara County south and east to Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties, Apple, Lucerne and Antelope Valleys: High Wind Warnings through this afternoon. Gusts 60-75 mph. I-5, I-15, US-101, CA-1 impacted.

Much of southern CA; Mojave Desert; southern NV: Wind Advisories today. Gusts 45-65 mph. Strongest winds in the San Diego and Riverside Country Mountains. I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40, US-6, US-93, US-95, US-101, CA-1, CA-58 impacted.

Mountain:

— Southwest ID I-84 corridor; adjacent east-central OR: Dense Fog Advisory through mid-morning. I-84 impacted.

— West-central and southwest UT; northwest and west-central AZ: Wind Advisories through this evening. Gusts to 50 mph. I-15, I-40 impacted.

Central, west-central and southwest UT; northwest AZ: Isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds gusts possible today. I-15, I-70 potentially impacted.

— Central, south-central MT and adjacent eastern ID: Winter Weather Advisories today. Another couple of inches of snow likely. I-15, I-90 impacted.

Southeast ID; southwest WY; north-central, central and southwest UT: Winter Storm Warnings (Wasatch and UT Cottonwood Mountains) and Advisories through Wednesday afternoon. Additional accumulations of 4-8 inches at lower elevations and 8-16 inches in the mountains. I-15, I-70, I-80, I-84 impacted.

Southeast WY; northeast CO; far-western NE: 1-4 inches snow likely Wednesday. I-25, I-76, I-80 impacted.

— Western WY: Winter Weather Advisories continue through midday today. 2-6 inches additional snow.

South-central WY much of western CO and eastern UT: Winter Storm Warnings (WY) and Advisories through Wednesday evening. 8-16 inches snow and wind gusts 40-45 mph, especially above 9000 feet. I-70 impacted. I-80 just north of this warning area.

Central and southeast WY: High Wind Warnings through early this evening. Gusts to 65 mph. I-25, I-80 impacted.

CO Front Range; much of eastern CO; Strong winds Wednesday midday through evening. Gusts 40-55 mph. I-25, I-70, I-76 impacted.

South-central CO: High Wind Warning through midday today. Gusts 65-75 mph. I-25 impacted.

Much of north-central and east-central NM: Wind Advisories late this morning through this evening. Gusts to 50 mph. I-25, I-40 impacted.

Much of eastern NM: High Wind Watches Wednesday. Gusts 60-65 mph. I-25, I-40 impacted.

— Southeast NM and adjacent far-west TX Delaware, Guadalupe and Davis Mountains: High Wind Watch Wednesday. Gusts 65-75 mph. US-180 potentially impacted.

Central:

Far-west TX and adjacent southeast NM Delaware, Guadalupe and Davis Mountains: High Wind Watch Wednesday. Gusts 65-75 mph. I-10/I-20 split, US-180 potentially impacted.

Central and western TX Panhandle: High Wind Watch Wednesday afternoon and evening. Gusts to 65 mph. I-27, I-40 impacted.

Southwest KS; OK Panhandle: Strong Winds Wednesday afternoon and evening. Gusts 45-60 mph. I-70 impacted.

— Much of central and southern MN; adjacent northeast SD and adjacent eastern ND: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-29, I-35, I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Southern and southeast TX: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-2, I-10, I-35, I-37, I-45, I-69 impacted.

— Eastern TX; eastern OK; southern MO; AR; central and northern LA; western TN; northern and west-central MS: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Damaging winds and a tornado or two are the primary threats, but some large hail is also possible. Major highways potentially impacted include I-20, I-22, I-30, I-40, I-45, I-49, I-55.

— Eastern LA; MS; AL and adjacent southern TN: Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms possible Thursday. Greatest threat over AL. Damaging winds are the main threat, but a tornado or two also possible. I-10, I-12, I-20, I-22, I-49, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-85 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— FL Panhandle; most of GA except southeast portion of state; southwest NC; northwest SC; eastern and central TN; central KY: Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms possible Thursday. Greatest threat over northern and central GA. Damaging winds are the main threat, but a tornado or two also possible. Major highways potentially impacted include I-10, I-16, I-20, I-20, I-26, I-40, I-75, I-81.
