Central:
— Eastern NE; southwest and southern IA: Flood Watches through this evening. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall remains possible. I-29, I-35, I-80 potentially impacted.
— Eastern and south-central KS; eastern OK; central and southern MO; southern IL; western KY; western and central TN; northern and west-central MS: Excessive Heat Warnings through Thursday. Heat index values approaching 110 deg F. I-24, I-40, I-44, I-55, I-57, I-64, I-65, I-70 impacted.
Eastern:
— Central SC and adjacent east-central GA: Excessive Heat Warnings through this evening. Heat index values up to 111 deg F expected. I-20, I-26, I-77, I-95 impacted.
— Southern and western KY; central and eastern TN; northeast AL; northern and east-central GA; southern VA; most of NC and SC: Scattered severe thunderstorms possible today. Damaging winds are the main threat. I-24, I-26, I-40, I-64, I-65, I-69, I-74, I-77, I-81, I-85, I-95 potentially impacted.
