  • Chance of severe thunderstorms for southeast Virginia, eastern North Carolina and the central Florida Peninsula today.
  • Mid to upper 90’s over central and southern coastal California today and Friday.

Pacific:

— Southern CA Ventura and Los Angeles County Mountains and Santa Ana Mountains: Wind Advisories through this afternoon. Gusts 40-50 mph. I-5, I-10, I-15, US-101 impacted.

Mountain:

— Southwest ID Snake River Basin: Wind Advisory Friday night and Saturday morning. Gusts to 50 mph. I-84 impacted.

— See Central Time Zone for western NE and eastern CO High Wind Warnings.

Central:

Eastern ND; SD; central and western NE; eastern CO; western KS; western OK: High Wind Warnings through this evening. Gusts. 60-70 mph. I-29, I-40, I-70, I-76, I-80, I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Central ND: Wind Advisories through this evening. Gusts to 55 mph. I-94 impacted.

— Southwest MN; northwest and western IA; eastern NE; eastern KS; central OK; northeast TX: Wind Advisories through late this evening. Gusts 45-50 mph. I-20, I-30, I-35, I-40, I-70, I-80, I-90 impacted.

— Eastern ND and SD; northern and western MN: Winter Weather Advisories through this evening. Up to 1-4 inches of snow with wind gusts 35-55 mph. I-35, I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Northwest WI: Winter Storm Warning through Friday morning. 4-9 inches snow expected.

— Northern LA, adjacent southern AR: Wind Advisories this afternoon and early evening. Gusts 30-40 mph. I-20, I-49 impacted.

— Southwest LA: Wind Advisory this afternoon and early evening. Gusts to 30 mph. I-10 impacted.

Eastern:

— Eastern NY; northeast PA; northern NJ; VT; southern NH: Heavy rain today may cause some urban and stream flash flooding.

Southeast VA; eastern NC; central FL Peninsula: Strong to severe thunderstorms possible today. Damaging wind gusts hail, and a couple of tornadoes are possible. I-4, I-40, I-64, I-75, I-95 potentially impacted.
