Mountain:
— Southwest MT Gallatin and Madison Counties: Winter Weather Advisory through this afternoon. 1-3 inches snow at lower elevations and 4-6 inches in the mountains. I-90 impacted.
— Northeast WY, adjacent west-central SD Black Hills: Winter Weather Advisory this evening through Friday. 1-4 inches snow expected; greatest amounts above 5000 feet. I-90 impacted.
Central:
— Eastern WI: Winter Weather Advisory through midday today. Additional snow accumulation of 1-2 inches and wind gusts to 35 mph. I-43, I-90, I-94 impacted.
Eastern:
— MI central and eastern Upper Peninsula; northwest Lower Peninsula: Winter Storm Warnings (UP) and Advisories continue today. Additional accumulations of 1-4 inches with wind gusts 35-40 mph. I-75 impacted.
— Southeast MI; northeast IN; northern OH; northwest PA; western NY downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario: Wind Advisories through this afternoon. Gusts to 50 mph. I-69, I-75, I-79, I-80, I-81, I-90, I-94, OH Turnpike, NY Thruway, IN Toll Road impacted.
— TN/NC Border, southwest NC: High Wind Warnings (above 3500 feet) and Advisories through midday today. Wind gusts 50-70 mph. I-26, I-40 impacted.
— Parts of northern FL west of I-75; portions of southwest and south-central GA: Tornado Watch through 2 pm ET today. Wind gusts to 65 mph in thunderstorms and a few tornadoes possible. I-10, I-16, I-75 potentially impacted.
— Southeast AL; southern GA; northern and eastern FL: Wind Advisories today. Gusts to 40 mph. I-4, I-10, I-75, I-95 impacted.
— Coastal SC: Wind Advisory today. Gusts to 45 mph. I-26 impacted.
— NY Hudson Valley; eastern and central PA; NJ; DE; MD; DC; most of VA; central NC; SC; southern GA; northern FL: Slight risk for severe thunderstorms today. Greatest threats are damaging wind gusts and a couple of tornadoes. I believe VA and the Carolinas are at greatest risk within this area this afternoon. All the major Eastern highways east of the Appalachians potentially impacted.
— Western NY; central and western PA; western MD: Expect scattered brief but intense snow squalls Friday morning and early afternoon. Visibility can drop suddenly to near zero. Little accumulation but roads become slick. When these squalls impact an interstate, driving quickly goes from routine to extremely dangerous. I-68, I-76/PA Turnpike, I-79, I-80, I-90 / NY Thruway all at risk.
— Northern ME: Winter Weather Advisory this morning. Up to an inch or two additional snow accumulation. I-95 impacted.
