Pacific:

— Much of interior southeast CA lower elevation deserts; southern NV: Excessive Heat Warnings today and Friday. High temperatures 110-120 deg F. I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40 impacted.

Mountain:

— East-central ID; southwest MT; northwest WY: Strong winds Friday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts 30-40 mph. I-15, I-90 impacted.

— Southern UT; western, central and south-central AZ: Excessive Heat Warnings through Friday. High temperatures 105-120 deg F. I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40 impacted.

Central:

— Southeast MN; WI; central and northern IA; northern IL: Scattered severe thunderstorms likely Saturday. A few tornadoes, large hail and significant damaging winds are all possible. I-35, I-39, I-43, I-80, I-90, I-94 potentially impacted.

— West-central AL: Excessive Heat Warnings this afternoon and evening. Heat index reaching 110 deg F. I-20 impacted.

— Central MS and central AL: Scattered severe thunderstorms possible today. Damaging winds are the main threat. I-20, I-22, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-85 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— Eastern NY; CT; RI; MA; VT; NH; most of ME along and west of I-95: Scattered severe thunderstorms possible today. Damaging winds are the main threat. I-84, I-87, I-89, I-91, I-93, I-95, NY Thruway, Mass Pike potentially impacted.

— Southeast VA: Excessive Heat Warning this afternoon and evening. Heat index as high as 110 deg F. I-64 impacted.

— Central and northern GA; upstate SC; central NC: Scattered severe thunderstorms possible today. Damaging winds are the main threat. I-16, I-20, I-40, I-75, I-77, I-85, I-95 potentially impacted.
