  • Significant severe weather threat continues through tonight across the Deep South, and the mid-Mississippi, Tennessee and Ohio Valleys. Nighttime tornadoes possible across Mississippi and Alabama.
  • Snowstorm moves through the Central Plains into the Great Lakes today and tonight.
  • Strong winds Friday afternoon across much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Pacific:

— No significant impacts to RV travel today or Friday.

Mountain:

— Southeast ID: Wind Chill Warnings this morning. Wind Chill values -20 to -35 deg F. I-15 impacted.

Southeast WY Snowy Range Foothills and South Laramie Range including portions of I-80 between Cheyenne and Rawlins: High Wind Watch this evening through Friday afternoon. Gusts 50-60 mph. I-80 impacted.

Southeast WY along and east of I-25: High Wind Warnings and Watches this evening through Friday evening. Gusts 60-70 mph. I-25 impacted.

Central:

Central and northeast KS; south-central and eastern NE; southern and eastern IA; west-central and northern MO; northwest and northern IL; southern and southeast WI: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories continue today. Total snow accumulations generally 4-8 inches snow accumulation. Winds gusting to 35 mph. I-29, I-35, I-39, I-43, I-70, I-74, I-80, I-88, I-90, I-94 impacted.

Much of eastern AR; southeast MO; western KY; western TN; northwest MS: TORNADO Watch through midday. A few tornadoes, 2-inch diameter hail and wind gusts to 70 mph possible. I-24, I-30, I-40, I-55, I-57 potentially impacted.

Eastern LA; MS; AL; western FL Panhandle; western and central TN; western KY: Widely scattered severe thunderstorms possible. Several tornadoes possible over MS and AL, including the risk for strong tornadoes late this afternoon and tonight. I-10, I-12, I-20, I-22, I-24, I-40, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-69, I-85 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— Most of MI Lower Peninsula: Winter Weather Advisories today and tonight. 3-6 inches snow expected. I-69, I-75, I-94, I-96 impacted.

Most of OH; central and southern IN; central and eastern KY: Widely scattered severe thunderstorms possible. Damaging wind gusts and a tornado or two are the primary threats. I-64, I-65, I-69, I-70, I-71, I-74, I-75, I-76, I-77, I-80, OH Turnpike potentially impacted.

Most of KY; adjacent OH and IN: Flood Watches through late tonight due to heavy rains. I-24, I-64, I-65, I-69, I-71, I-75 potentially impacted.

— Western NC; western and southwest VA; northern VA; MD; DE; DC; central and eastern PA; Southern Tier NY; NJ; much of MA, CT, RI: Strong winds Friday afternoon. Gusts 35-45 mph. Major highways impacted include I-26, I-40, I-64, I-66, I-68, I-70, I-76, I-77, I-78, I-80, I-81, I-83, I-84, I-86, I-88, I-90, I-95, NJ and PA Turnpikes.

— Northern NY; central and northern VT; northern NH; most of northern and central ME: Winter Weather Advisories tonight and Friday. Snow freezing rain accumulations generally around 2 inches in NH, VT and NY. Up to 6-9 inches snow in northern ME. I-87, I-89, I-91, I-93, I-95 impacted.

— Northern NH and much of eastern ME: Wind Advisory this morning. Gusts to 45 mph. I-93 impacted.
