Slight risk of severe thunderstorms over parts of the eastern Dakotas and western Minnesota today.
Monsoon activity will continue during the next few days in the Four Corners Region.
Hot conditions will persist across much of the central U.S. and Great Basin through the end of the week.

Pacific:

— Southern CA Salton Sea and Imperial Valley: Excessive Heat Watch Friday through Sunday. Temperatures will reach 110-116 deg F. I-8 impacted.

Mountain:

— Northwest UT: Excessive Heat Warning through tonight. High temperatures 100-103 deg F. I-80, I-84 impacted.

— Southern UT: Slight risk of isolated flash flooding from monsoon thunderstorms. I-15 potentially impacted.

Central:

— Most of ND except southwest portion; northeast SD and adjacent MM: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms containing large hail and damaging winds late this afternoon and evening. I-29, I-94 potentially impacted.

— Southern LA; southern MS; southern AL; western FL Panhandle: Slight risk of isolated flash flooding from slow-moving thunderstorms. I-10, I-12, I-49, I-55, I-59, I-65 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— Central and southern GA; northern FL; eastern SC; southeast NC: Slight risk of isolated flash flooding from slow-moving thunderstorms. I-10, I-16, I-20, I-26, I-65, I-74, I-75, I-77, I-85, I-95 potentially impacted.
