Pacific:
— Central and east-central WA: Excessive Heat Warnings Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures 100-106 deg F. I-90 impacted.
— Southeast CA and adjacent AZ: Dust Advisory through early morning. A wall of dust is moving northwest at 35 mph. Wind gusts may reach 50 mph. Visibility severely and suddenly restricted. Do not drive through or into this dust cloud. If you are caught in a dust or sand storm, pull off the side of the road as far as possible, turn off all your lights, keep your foot off the brake. I-10 impacted.
Mountain:
— Central AZ: Flood Watch this afternoon and tonight. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. I-17, I-40 potentially impacted.
— South-central AZ: Blowing Dust Advisory late this afternoon through late this evening. Visibility may become severely and suddenly restricted. Do not drive through or into this dust cloud. If you are caught in a dust or sand storm, pull off the side of the road as far as possible, turn off all your lights, keep your foot off the brake. I-8, I-10 impacted.
— Much of central and eastern CO: Flood Watches this afternoon and evening. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. I-25, I-70, I-76 potentially impacted.
— Portions of north-central NM: Flood Watches this afternoon and evening from monsoon thunderstorms. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. I-25 potentially impacted.
Central:
— North-central IA adjacent to the MN border along I-35: Flash Flood Warning this morning. 4-8 inches of rain have fallen with another 1-2 inches expected. Flash flooding is occurring now. Seek higher ground quickly if the water is rising. Do not drive or tow across flooded roadways. I-35 impacted.
— South-central and southeast MN; north-central and northeast IA; central and southern WI and adjacent northern IL: Flash Flooding from excessive rainfall possible through Monday morning. Be very careful if you are camping in low-laying areas, near creeks, streams or small rivers and seek higher ground quickly if the water is rising. Do not drive or tow across flooded roadways. I-35, I-39, I-43, I-90, I-94 potentially impacted.
— North-central IL along the MN border: Flash Flood Warnings and Advisories this morning. 2-6 inches of rain have fallen in this region and an additional 1-2 inches of rain are possible. This region includes Lake Leaquana State Park. Be very careful if you are camping in low-laying areas, near creeks, streams or small rivers and seek higher ground quickly if the water is rising. Do not drive or tow across flooded roadways.
Eastern:
— Eastern KY, southeast OH; much of WV: Flood Watches continue through Sunday evening, especially in the eastern portions of this area. Flash Flooding caused by continued excessive rainfall is possible. I-64, I-75, I-77, I-79 potentially impacted.
— Much of New England, lower elevations of NY; NJ and southeastern PA: Hot weather today and Monday with heat indices in the upper 90’s and lower 100’s deg F.
— Southwest VA; parts of western NC: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-40, I-77, I-81, I-85 impacted.
