  • High heat today around the eastern, southern and western periphery of the country.
  • Monsoonal showers and thunderstorms bring locally heavy rainfall to the Southwest into early next week.
  • Strong thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening from the lower Great Lakes and upper Ohio Valley into the Tennessee Valley.
  • You may hear in the media that a tropical storm is likely to develop in the Atlantic later this week. If it does, the storm will stay well to the south of the U.S. and have no impact on RV’ers.

Pacific:

— No significant impacts to RV travel today or Monday.

Mountain:

— Portions of central and south-central UT: Flood Watch this afternoon and evening associated with heavy rainfall from thunderstorms. I-15, I-70 potentially impacted.

— Portions of north-central and northeast NM: Flash Flood Watches this afternoon for heavy rainfall and debris flows, especially along recent burn scars. I-25 potentially impacted.

Central:

— Northern MN, northern WI, western MI Upper Peninsula: Wind gusts 30-35 mph today I-35, I-43, US-2 impacted.

Portions of southeast and south-central KS: Flood Warnings through early this afternoon, due to excessive rainfall. I-35 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— No significant impacts to RV travel today or Monday.
