  • Strong winds today across the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest, but winds much lighter today across the Central and Southern Plains.
  • Chance of Severe Weather both in western Texas and Michigan.

Pacific:

— Southern CA Ventura and Los Angeles County Mountains: Wind Advisory continues through midday today. Gusts to 45 mph. I-5, I-10 impacted.

Mountain:

Extreme eastern MT; northeast WY: Blizzard Warnings continue today. Additional snow accumulation of 2-3 inches and gusts to 65 mph. I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Central and south-central CO above 9000 feet: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon and tonight. 4-8 inches snow expected. Advisory area is south of I-70 and west of I-25.

Central:

Parts of eastern ND; northwest MN: Flood Warnings today. Several streams and small rivers above flood stage due to heavy rain and rising waters.

Western ND; northwest SD: Blizzard warnings continue today. Total snow accumulation of 8-14 inches and wind gusts to 65 mph. I-94 impacted.

— Remainder of northern and central ND: Winter Weather Advisories today. Total snow accumulation of 2-5 inches, mixed with freezing rain. Wind gusts to 60 mph. I-94 impacted.

Southeast ND; most of SD; northeast NE; extreme northwest IA: Wind Advisories through this evening. Gusts 50-55 mph. I-29, I-90, I-94 impacted.

Extreme northern TX; southeast OK; northwest AR; southwest and south-central MO: Flood Watches through Monday morning for persistent, heavy rain showers and thunderstorms today and tonight. Area mostly bounded by I-35 to the west, I-44 to the north, and I-30 to the south.

Western TX: A few severe storms expected this afternoon and evening. Large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado or two are all possible. I-10, I-20 impacted. I-35 on eastern edge of higher risk area.

Eastern:

MI Lower Peninsula; northwest IN; east-central IL: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and before midnight tonight. Large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado or two are all possible. I-57, I-65, I-69, I-74, I-75, I-80/90 / IN Toll Road, I-94 potentially impacted.
