- High winds today impact central South Dakota, Much of Nebraska, and northern Kansas. Very strong crosswinds on I-80.
- Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall are possible from the lower Mississippi Valley northward into the western Great Lakes through this evening.
- Strong winds return to Arizona and New Mexico on Sunday.
- Heavy rain will increase river flooding in the Northern Plains over the weekend.

Pacific:
— Southwest and southern NV: Wind gusts to 35 mph Sunday afternoon and evening. I-15 impacted.
Mountain:
— Much of northern, northeast and east-central AZ: Wind Advisories Sunday midday through evening. Gusts 45-55 mph. I-17, I-40 impacted.
— Much of northwest, northern, central and north-central NM; south-central CO: Wind gusts 45-55 mph Sunday midday through evening. Red Flag (fire danger) warnings posted — wind advisories likely. I-25, I-40 impacted.
Central:
— OK and TX Panhandles, and adjacent western OK, northern TX, southeast CO and far-eastern NM: Severe thunderstorms will probably develop over this region Sunday afternoon and evening. Large hail, wind damage and a few tornadoes are expected. I-20, I-27, I-40 potentially impacted.
— Southern ND; most of SD and NE; north and north-central KS and adjacent east-central CO: High Wind Warnings and Advisories through tonight. Wind gusts 55-65 mph. Strongest winds over NE and northern KS. I-29, I-35, I-70, I-76, I-80, I-90, I-94 impacted.
— Much of eastern ND; northwest MN: Flood Watches and Warnings continue through Sunday. Several streams and small rivers already above flood stage with more heavy rain expected today. Some roads closed due to flooding. I-29 potentially impacted.
— IA, IL, WI, MN: Strong winds today gusting 30-45 mph. Advisories possible. Major highways impacted include I-35, I-39, I-43, I-55, I-57, I-64, I-70, I-72, I-74, I-80, I-88, I-90, I-94.
—IL; western IN; southeast MO; northeast and central AR: Severe thunderstorms possible today. Wind damage and large hail are the primary threats; a couple of tornadoes are also possible. Major highways potentially impacted include I-40, I-44, I-55, I-57, I-64, I-70, I-72, I-74, I-80.
Eastern:
— No significant weather-related RV travel issues today or Sunday.
