Pacific:

— Northwest WA Olympic Mountains; Puget Sound region: Winter Weather Advisories this morning. Additional snow accumulations of 1-2 inches. I-5, I-90 impacted.

North-central OK; southeast WA: Winter Weather Advisories late Saturday night and Sunday. 1-3 inches snow. I-84, US-395 impacted.

Northeast OR Grand Ronde Valley: Wind Advisory through midday today. Gusts to 50 mph. I-84 impacted.

East-central and southeast OR; adjacent southwest ID: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon and Sunday. 1-3 inches in lower elevations and 3-6 inches in the mountains. I-84 impacted.

— Southwest OR southern Rogue Valley along the I-5 corridor: Wind Advisory through early this afternoon. Gusts to 40 mph. I-5 impacted.

Portions of northwest and north-central CA above 3500 feet: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon through Monday morning. 4-8 inches above 3500 feet and 8-16 inches snow expected above 5000 feet. I-5 occasionally impacted, especially at night.

Northeast CA: Winter Weather Advisory this afternoon through late Sunday night. 1-5 inches snowfall except 7-20 inches west of US-395. Snow levels start out between 5000-7000 feet, then fall by early Sunday. US-395 impacted.

CA Sierra Nevada Mountains: Winter Storm Warnings through Sunday night. Snow accumulations 1-3 feet and wind gusts to 45 mph. Snow levels start at 6000-8000 feet today, dropping to 4000-6000 feet by Sunday morning. I-80, US-50 impacted.

— CA Central Coast Santa Lucia Mountains, San Luis Obispo County Mountains and Santa Barbara County interior mountains: Wind Advisories today and tonight. Gusts to 45 mph. US-101, CA-1 impacted.

Mountain:

— Northwest MT Rocky Mountain Front: Winter Weather Advisory through this afternoon for blowing snow. Wind gusts to 60 mph.

South-central MT Beartooth Foothills and Livingston area: Wind Advisory through midday today. Gusts to 65 mph. I-90 impacted.

Central and southeast WY; adjacent northern CO Foothills: High Winds Sunday afternoon and evening. Gusts 45-60 mph. I-25, I-80 impacted.

Central:

— Southeast WI; northeast and east-central IL: Wind Advisories continue through mid-morning. Gusts to 45 mph. I-39, I-43, I-55, I-57, I-80, I-88, I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Far-south TX; most of TX Gulf Coast; southeast LA and coastal MS: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-2, I-10, I-12, I-55, I-59, US-77 impacted.

Eastern:

MI Upper Peninsula Lake Superior coast; northern MI Lower Peninsula: Winter Weather Advisories today. 1-3 inches snow. Gusts 40-50 mph. I-75, US-2, MI-28 impacted.

MI Lower Peninsula; northern and central IN; central and northeast OH; northeast PA: Wind Advisories through midday today. Gusts 45-50 mph. I-65, I-69, I-70, I-71, I-74, I-75, I-80, I-90, I-94, I-96, OH Turnpike, IN Toll Road impacted.

Western MD; northeast WV: Wind Advisory today. Gusts to 50 mph. I-68 impacted.

Eastern TN along the NC Border: Wind Advisory this morning. Gusts to 50 mph. I-26, I-40 impacted.

Western and northern NY: High Wind Warnings (downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario) and Advisories today. Gusts 50-60 mph. I-81, I-86, I-87, I-90 / NY Thruway impacted.

— NY southern and central Adirondack Mountains: Winter Weather Advisory continues through this morning. A light glaze and wind gusts to 40 mph. I-87 impacted.

Coastal Down East ME: High Wind Warnings and Advisories from late this morning through this evening. Gusts 50-60 mph. I-95 just north/inland of the warned area.

  1. Love this but for the last several weeks the email has been 10 or so days old. Today 12/12 I received 12/3. What’s up?

    1. Hi Liza! Glad you like the forecasts. You are the 2nd person recently to tell me about this problem; it appears there is an issue between my mailing system and the @me.com (old Apple) accounts. The other person used his @icloud.com account and that solved the issue. I will also ask my mail provider if they have seen this issue more broadly, and if they any a solution. Thanks for letting me know! Best, -Dave
