Travel & RV Weather Forecast Saturday 25 June


  • Monsoonal moisture will bring locally heavy rainfall this weekend into early next week and may generate isolated flooding impacts over the Southwest into the Southern Plains.
  • Heat persists across the South while temperatures also climb for much of the Pacific Northwest.
  • You may hear in the media that a tropical storm might develop in the Atlantic next week. If it does, the storm will stay well to the south of the U.S. and have no impact on RV’ers.

Pacific:

— No significant impacts to RV travel today or Sunday.

Mountain:

— Portions of north-central NM: Flash Flood Watch through Sunday afternoon for excessive monsoonal rainfall. I-25 potentially impacted.

Central:

— Much of ND, northern SD: Wind gusts 30-40 mph this afternoon and evening. I-29, I-94 impacted.

— TX and OK Panhandles; southern KS; central MO: Isolated strong to possibly severe thunderstorms this evening and overnight. I-35, I-40, I-44, I-70 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— No significant impacts to RV travel today or Sunday.
