  • A stalled front across the Florida Peninsula will produce strong to severe thunderstorms this weekend.
  • A rain/snow mix for Wisconsin and Michigan today. Another rain/snow mix for the Upper Mid-west on Sunday.
  • Major late-winter storm moving into the Pacific Northwest starting Sunday afternoon. Heavy snow in the Cascades and high winds spreading across eastern Washington and Southern Oregon into the Inter-Mountain West.
  • A broad area of severe thunderstorm potential will exist Monday across central/eastern Texas, and spread east into the Lower Mississippi Valley vicinity through Monday night.

Pacific:

WA Olympic and Cascade Mountains: Winter Storm Watches Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning. Snow accumulations 12-24 inches above 2500 feet. Wind gusts to 40 mph. I-90 impacted.

— Central and east-central WA: High Wind Watch Monday. Gusts to 55 mph. I-90, US-395 impacted.

— OR Cascades: Winter Storm Watch Sunday evening through Monday night. Snow accumulations 16-20 inches above 4500 feet. Gusts to 45 mph.

— South-central OR, northeast CA: High Wind Watch late Sunday night through Monday evening. Gusts 55-65 mph. US-395 impacted.

Mountain:

— Southeast ID: Wind Advisory this afternoon and evening. Gusts to 45 mph. I-15, I-84, I-86 impacted.

Central:

— Southwest OK and adjacent northwest TX: Isolated severe thunderstorms are expected Sunday evening. Strong wind gusts and large hail will be possible with these storms. I-35W, I-40 potentially impacted.

— Eastern TX; southern AR; most of LA; southern MS: A broad area of severe thunderstorm potential will exist Monday through Monday night. Damaging wind gusts, large hail and tornadoes will all be possible. I-10, I-20, I-30, I-45, I-49, I-55, I-59 potentially impacted.

— East-central IA; southeast WI; northeast IL: Winter Weather Advisory through mid-morning. A few inches wet snow accumulation, mostly on grassy surfaces. Some untreated roads and overpasses may be slick. Snow is generally to the east of I-35, north of I-80 and west of I-90/I-94 in WI.

Eastern:

FL Peninsula: Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms possible today. Biggest threats are damaging winds and hail. I-4, I-75, I-95 potentially impacted.
