  • Dangerous heat expected this week from the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes to the Southern U.S.
  • Monsoonal showers and thunderstorms may produce flash flooding in New Mexico through Tuesday.
  • Slight risk of severe thunderstorms over parts of the the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest today.

Pacific:

— No significant impacts to RV travel today or Tuesday.

Mountain:

Eastern MT, northeast WY: Slight risk today of severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging wind gusts. I-90, I-94 impacted.

Southeast WY: High Wind Warning this afternoon and tonight. Gusts to 60 mph. I-25, I-80 impacted.

— Most of NM except eastern and northwest portions of state; far-west TX: Flood Watch through Tuesday evening for excessive monsoon rainfall. I-10, I-25, I-40 potentially impacted.

Central:

ND; SD; northern KS; northwest half of MN: Slight risk today of severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging wind gusts. I-29, I-90, I-94 potentially impacted.

— Eastern ND and adjacent northwest and west-central, central and south-central MN: Excessive Heat Warning through early tonight: Heat index values as high as 105 deg F. I-29, I-25, I-90, I-94 impacted.

Eastern:

— No significant impacts to RV travel today or Tuesday.
