- Late season winter storm wlll bring accumulating wet, heavy snowfall to the higher elevations of eastern NY and PA. Slick roads and falling trees are the greatest threats.
- Low elevation rains and mountain snows for the Pacific Northwest.
- Strong winds for the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada and portions of the Southwest
- Scattered strong storms will be possible in the Southeast this afternoon.

Pacific:
— OR Cascades above 4000 feet: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon and tonight. 4-8 inches snow above 4000 feet and 8-15 inches above 5000 feet. Winds 30-40 mph.
— CA Western Slopes Northern Sierras above 6500 feet: Winter Weather Advisories tonight through Tuesday afternoon. 4-7 inches snow expected. I-80, US-50 impacted.
— Eastern CA and adjacent western NV; CA deserts north of CA-58 / I-40; southern NV: Wind Advisories this afternoon through Tuesday. Gusts generally 50-55 mph, except to 65 mph in normally wind-prone areas and gusts to 100 mph on the Sierra ridge lines. I-15, I-40, I-80, US-50, US-395, CA-58 impacted.
Mountain:
— Northwest and north-central MT: High Wind Warnings (Rocky Mountain Front) and Watches Tuesday afternoon and night. Gusts 60-70 mph. I-15 impacted.
— Southern, southeast and east-central UT; northern and central AZ: Wind Advisories Tuesday afternoon and evening. Gusts to 50 mph. I-17, I-40, I-70 impacted.
Central:
— MN Arrowhead: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories through this afternoon. Snow accumulations generally 1-3 inches, except 3-6 inches along the lakeshore.
— South-central MN; north-central IA: Wind Advisory this afternoon and evening. Gusts to 45 mph. I-35, I-90 impacted.
Eastern:
— Southeast MI north of Detroit, including the Thumb: Winter Weather Advisory this afternoon through tonight. 3-6 inches wet snow expected. Some accumulation on roads is possible. I-69 impacted.
— Southwest VA; extreme northeast TN: Wind Advisory this morning Gusts 40-50 mph. I-81 impacted.
— Parts of eastern WV; extreme western MD; central PA along the I-99 corridor and much of northern PA: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon through tonight. Up to 1-5 inches of wet snow possible. Snowfall rates may be high enough for some accumulation on roads. I-68, I-70 / I-76 / PA Turnpike, I-80, I-81, I-99 impacted.
— Interior portions of NY, mostly west of I-87 and excluding far-western portion of State: Winter Storm Warnings (Catskills and Adirondacks) and Advisories this evening through midday Tuesday. Accumulations ranging from 2-4 inches in the western portion of this region to 5-11 inches in the higher elevations. I-81, I-87, I-88, I-90 / NY Thruway impacted.
