  • Large, strong, slow-moving storm north of the Great Lakes continues to dominate the weather east of the Mississippi.
    • Strong winds, snow in the western Great Lakes, and freezing temperatures southward to Tennessee.
    • Much warmer than average in the west.
  • Weather patterns over the U.S. will change significantly at the end of this week — storms with rain and snow enter the west, while the east has quieter and warmer weather.

Pacific:

— No significant weather impacts to RV travel today or Tuesday.

Mountain:

— No significant weather impacts to RV travel today or Tuesday.

Central:

— Eastern WI: Strong winds continue today through Tuesday. Wind gusts 30-40 mph. I-39, I-43, I-90 impacted.

— South TX: Locally severe, isolated thunderstorms possible today. Wind damage and hail are the primary threats. I-2, I-35, I-37 potentially impacted.

— Southeast LA; coastal MS and AL; western and central FL Panhandle and adjacent southwest GA: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-10, I-12, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-75 impacted.

Eastern:

Western and central MI Upper Peninsula and adjacent northern WI: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories continue this afternoon. An additional 2-5 inches of snow likely. Winds gusting to 35 mph. US-2, US-41 impacted.

Eastern MI Upper Peninsula: Winter Storm Watch this evening through Tuesday morning. Up to 3 inches of very wet, dense snow possible with wind gusts to 50 mph. US-2 impacted.

— Far-eastern MI Upper Peninsula: Wind Advisory this afternoon and tonight. Gusts to 45 mph. I-75 impacted.

MI Lower Peninsula along the Lake Michigan Coast; IN coastal areas: Wind Advisories this afternoon and tonight. Gusts 45-50 mph. I-65, I-80/90, I-94, I-196, US-31, Indiana Toll Road impacted.

Parts of northwest IN downwind Lake Michigan. Winter Weather Advisory this afternoon and tonight for up to 3 inches of wet snow. The exact area may still shift, as it will depend on how the winds line up with the lake. I-80/90 impacted; I-65 potentially impacted.

— Southern DELMARVA Peninsula; southeast VA; eastern NC; eastern SC: Locally severe, isolated thunderstorms possible Monday. Wind damage and hail are the primary threats. I-26, I-40, I-64, I-95, US-13 potentially impacted.

— East-central and northeast FL: Locally severe, isolated thunderstorms possible Monday. Wind damage and hail are the primary threats. I-4, I-10, I-95 potentially impacted.

— Southeast coastal ME: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-95 impacted.

Eastern and northeast ME: Flood Watch Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. 1-2 inches of rain expected with up to 3-4 inches of rain possible in some local areas. I-95 potentially impacted.
