  • Heavy rains and strong winds wind down today over southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
  • Chance of severe thunderstorms today over Arizona and the Middle Atlantic States, and Tuesday over most of New England.
  • Expect significant rainfall this week across Arizona, the Great Basin and inter-Mountain West.

Pacific:

— Portions of southwest and southern interior CA to the north and east of Los Angeles: Flood Watches through this evening. I-5, I-10, I-15 potentially impacted.

— Eastern and southern NV: Flood Watches from late tonight through Tuesday night. I-15, I-80, US-50 potentially impacted.

Mountain:

— Northwest, central, southeast and east-central AZ: Flood Watches through late tonight. I-10, I-17, I-19, I-40 potentially impacted.

— Northwest, central and southeast AZ: A few severe thunderstorms are possible today. I-10, I-17, I-19, I-40 potentially impacted.

Central:

— Southern WI: Flood Watches continue through this afternoon. I-39, I-43, I-90, I-94 potentially impacted.

Southern and southeast WI; northern IL: Strong winds continue through this afternoon. Gusts 30-40 mph except gusts 35-50 mph near Lake Michigan. I-39, I-43, I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Western TN: Dense Fog Advisory this morning. I-40 impacted.

Eastern:

Central and eastern PA and adjacent NY; NJ; DE; most of MD; northeast WV; central and eastern VA; central and eastern NC: Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms, with damaging winds, hail and a tornado or two, are possible. Major highways potentially impacted include I-40, I-64, I-66, I-70, I-76, I-78, I-80, I-81, I-84, I-87, I-95, PA and NJ Turnpikes, NY Thruway.

— A portion of southeast PA; central MD; DC and adjacent northern VA: Flood Watch this afternoon and evening. Major highways potentially impacted include I-66, I-70, I-76, I-80, PI-83, I-95.

— Northeast WV; much of western VA: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-64, I-66, I-81 impacted.

Northern and eastern NY; VT; NH; MA; CT; RI; southern ME: Isolated severe thunderstorms containing damaging winds and a tornado or two, are possible Tuesday. Major highways potentially impacted include I-84, I-87, I-88, I-89, I-91, I-93, I-95, Mass Pike and NY Thruway.
