  • Strong low pressure system exits the east with heavy rain in northern New England and unsettled conditions over much of the Northeast. Accumulating snow along the Kentucky / North Carolina border.
  • Spring storm with low snow levels moves into the Pacific Northwest. Snow moves into the Inter-Mountain West and Northern Rockies this weekend.
  • Hot today along the central and southern CA coast with temperatures in the 90’s to near 100 deg F.

Pacific:

— WA Cascades above 2500 feet: Winter Weather Advisory this afternoon through Saturday morning. 4-12 inches snow expected. I-90 impacted.

— Northeast OR and adjacent WA Blue Mountains above 3000 feet: Winter Weather Advisory Saturday and Sunday. 6-10 inches of snow. I-84 impacted.

— Northeast OR Baker County: Winter Advisory this afternoon and tonight. Gusts to 50 mph. I-84 impacted.

Northern and Central CA, Sacramento Valley, northern San Joaquin Valley, Sacramento Delta: Wind Advisories Saturday and Sunday. Gusts to 50 mph. I-5, I-80, CA-99 impacted.

Central CA Eastern Slopes Sierra Nevada Mono Country, adjacent west-central NV including Reno: High Wind Watch Monday. Gusts to 65. I-80, US-395 impacted.

Mountain:

— Northern ID: Snow on Saturday. 2-5 inches likely at higher elevations. Advisories probable. I-90 impacted.

— Much of southern ID: Wind Advisory tonight and Saturday. Gusts to 50 mph. I-15, I-84, I-86 impacted.

Central:

— Northern WI Ashland and Iron Counties: Winter Storm Warning through early this afternoon. Up to 3 inches snow expected.

— Eastern TX; southwest AR; central and western LA: Wind Advisories today. Gusts to 35 mph. I-10, I-20, I-30, I-49 impacted.

Eastern:

— Western and central MI Upper Peninsula: Winter Weather Advisory through this afternoon. Generally an inch of snow except 2-5 inches in higher terrain.

Along the KY/NC Border: Winter Storm Warnings (south) and Advisories this afternoon and tonight. Generally 1-4 inches snow above 3000 feet and 6-8 inches above 5000 feet. I-26, I-40 impacted.

— Northern NH: Wind Advisory though late this morning. Gusts to 50 mph. I-93 impacted.

— Southern Coastal ME: Flood Advisory through midday today. I-95 potentially impacted.

— Coastal Down East ME: Wind Advisory through this afternoon. Gusts to 50 mph.
