  • Threat of isolated severe thunderstorms will exist in the Midwest and Ohio Valley today.
  • Strong winds across the Four-Corners through the weekend.
  • Early season heat with likely record high temperatures will spread from the South into the Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast today and Saturday

— Interior CA: Wind Advisory today for the Sacramento Valley, Delta and San Joaquin Valley. Gusts 40-50 mph. I-5, I-80, CA-99 impacted.

— Northern CA Northern and Central Sierra foothills and mountains: Wind Advisories through midday today. Gusts to 50 mph mph. I-80, US-50 impacted.

Central and southern CA interior deserts north of I-15, including Mojave Desert: Wind Advisories through midday today. Gusts to 55 mph. I-15, I-40, CA-58 impacted.


— Central MT: Winter Storm Warnings continue through midday today above 4000 feet. An additional 2-5 inches of snow expected. I-15 impacted.

— South-central MT and adjacent north-central WY: Winter Weather Advisories today for the Bighorn Mountains. 5-9 inches of snow likely.

Southeast WY; north-central and central CO: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories through midday Saturday. Snow accumulations will range from 3-6 inches east of the Rockies, 4-8 inches in the Foothills and 1-2 over the Front Range. Several inches possible along the I-25 corridor in CO. This snow will have heavy impact on trees with their leaves out, creating blocked roads and power outages. I-25, I-70, I-80 impacted.

— Northeastern quadrant of AZ; northwestern quadrant of NM: Wind Advisories late this morning through this evening. Gusts 45-55 mph. I-17, I-25, I-40 impacted.


— Parts of eastern ND, northern MN: Flood warnings continue due to excessive rainfall. Some road in the vicinity of I-29 may be impacted.

— Southern MO; southern IL; most of AR; northeast TX: Strong winds and Wind Advisories today. Gusts 35-45 mph. Major highways impacted include: I-20, I-30, I-40, I-44, I-55.

— South-central OK and adjacent north-central TX: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible today. I-35 potentially impacted.


— Much of the MI Lower Peninsula: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible today. I-69, I-75, I-94, I-96 potentially impacted.

— Northern IN; northern OH; much of the MI Lower Peninsula: Wind Gusts 30-40 mph Friday afternoon and evening. Advisories possible. Major highways impacted include I-75, I-80, I-90, I-94.

— Central and east-central IL; northern IN: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible late Saturday afternoon and early evening. Wind damage and isolated large hail are the primary threats. I-55, I-57, I-65, I-69, I-70, I-74 potentially impacted.

— Central and eastern PA: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible today. I-76 / PA Turnpike; I-80; I-81; I-84; I-99 potentially impacted.

— North-central FL; south-central GA: Dense Fog Advisories through mid-morning. I-10, I-75 impacted.
