Pacific:
— Central and east-central WA: Excessive Heat Warning today through this evening. High temperatures 95 – 101 deg F. I-90 impacted.
Mountain:
— Southeast UT and west-central CO: Flood Watches through tonight from monsoon storms. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. I-70 potentially impacted.
— Most of AZ and NM; far-west TX: Flood Watches this afternoon and Saturday from monsoon storms. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. I-8, I-10, I-17, I-19, I-25, I-40 potentially impacted.
Central:
— Watching to see if a tropical disturbance enters the southwest Gulf of Mexico this weekend. If this system does develop it will likely make landfall on the northeast Mexico coast Saturday night or Sunday morning. Weekend RV plans look to be safe. If you are camping on the Texas coast south of Corpus Christi, stay aware of the latest National Hurricane Center forecasts in case there are changes.
— Be prepared for heavy rains to spread from west to east across the Southern Plains Sunday into early next week.
— Central and eastern IA; northern MO: Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening, with hail and a few damaging wind gusts. I-35, I-80 potentially impacted.
Eastern:
— No significant weather impacts to RV travel today or Saturday.
