  • Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a few tornadoes are possible tonight over parts of the eastern Dakotas, eastern Nebraska, western Iowa, and Minnesota.
  • High winds today over the Northern Plains.

Pacific:

Central and Southern CA: Wind Advisories through midmorning from the San Luis Obispo Coast, through the interior Santa Barbara County mountains, to the Ventura and Los Angeles County mountains. Gusts 45-55 mph. Strongest winds through the I-5 corridor. I-5, I-10, US-101 impacted.

Mountain:

Portions of western MT: High Wind Warnings (Rocky Mountain Front) and Advisories midday today through this evening. Gusts 45-60 mph. I-15 impacted.

— Northwest WY: 1-3 inches snow possible on the high passes today and Saturday. Advisories unlikely.

— Southeast ID: Wind Advisory late this morning and this evening. Gusts to 50 mph. I-15 impacted

Southeast WY Central Laramie Range and southwest Platte County: High Wind Warning through this evening. Gusts to 65 mph. I-25 impacted.

— South-central, east-central and northeast CO: Winds gusting to 40 mph this afternoon and early evening. I-25, I-70, I-76 impacted.

Central:

ND and adjacent MN; northern SD: High Wind Warnings and Advisories through this evening. Gusts 55-65 mph. I-29, I-94 impacted. I-90 on southern boundary of this region.

— Northeast ND and along the ND/MN Border: River flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

Central and eastern WI; western IL; southeast IA; northeast, central and southwest MO; southeast KS; northwest OK; northwest AR: Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. The stronger storms will be capable of damaging winds and hail throughout this region. I-39, I-43, I-44, I-55, I-70, I-72, I-74, I-80, I-90, I-94 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— RI; eastern MA; coastal NH; coastal ME: Dense Fog Advisories through mid-morning. I-90 / Mass Pike, I-95 impacted.
